I think the OP of that thread is a Courtney Love "nut" or "fanboy"? I don't know the correct term for it. People are probably tired of the repetitive over-the-top comments. There was another poster recently that was a Cranberry's nut and ranted continuously about Delores. I think they were a long term member who eventually went off the rails, then comes back as a sock puppet and trolls everyone.

Wow I thought the only contemporary artists they talk about is John Mayer and Joe Bonamassa. They talk about Courtney and Cranberries??!? I figured you would get banned if you didn't stick to the bluesak group of artists. Goes to show you how often I visit there LOL

Oh no, they talk about all the dumble/two rock guys, whether they play bluesak or not.

If you can play beginners "be-bop" chords with 5th and 7th hammer-ons, they'll be super impressed, too!
 
I used to visit that place years ago. Haven't looked there since you guys brought it up. Checked it out today and wow it is different than what I remember. Getting banned for a legit reason is one thing but getting banned for something childish is ridiculous. Even though I don't post here often and probably can't play half as well as most of the people on here, I like this place! Speaking of getting banned, other than being a shady seller or buyer, what does it take to get banned from here? I'm just curious as I'm sure people have been banned here as well.

It takes violent threats, consistently, over a long period of time.

I’ve had some good trades over there but mostly the content is nauseating to read. Some of the tech sub forums are ok but that’s about it.

I would say don't try to get banned for no reason....wait until you see something that absolutely triggers you and you cannot resist. Then all of your trolling-efforts will feel more satisfying after the fact.

Threats of violence is the obvious, most-common reason. Generally you'd get 2 strikes and then out on the 3rd.

I haven't seen anyone perma-banned for it, but out-and-out / overt / distasteful racism isn't tolerated. That'd be temp-ban territory.
