I don’t understand some people’s unwillingness to take at face value a report that can be independently verified, based solely on who is reporting it. Seems more like an excuse not to engage with certain info.

It’s not strictly illogical, but perhaps imprudent. It is strictly illogical to disbelieve it on account of the outlet. So my question is, do you believe it, not believe it, or withhold judgement pending future reports from more credible news agencies?
