I have one of these sitting behind me right now with a ceramic pickup and it fucking rips. The back has a giant "hello kitty" in pink cursive and I have the O covered up so it says "Hell Kitty." It has outlasted 3 private stock PRS guitars.Hello Kitty
Who needs seagulls flying around their fingerboard when you can have a pussy sitting on your lap?I have one of these sitting behind me right now with a ceramic pickup and it fucking rips. I dunno man, my ES 335, Harmony Vibra Jet and even the SG don't thrash. There is no best thrash guitar , just about anything will work if it's equipped correctly .
wantI'll say a vintage Jackson King V.

In anticipation of someone saying that the SG can thrash, I made a clip comparing the Explorer to the SG.
The Explorer has stock pots and Godwood pups. It would be even thrashier with 500k pots. It's about to get those and the ToneNerd Psykes pup. The SG has 500k pots with a Motor City Detroiter. It's the best blues, classic/hard/stoner rock guitar ever. But it struggles to go fast.
Explorer is first, SG second. The first riff might sound familiar. That's a klone boosting the OD channel of an SLO100, sm57 on a V30. The second and third riff are played on the crunch, then OD channel of the SLO. Explorer on both, then SG on both.
Those guitars certainly "look the part".I saw a lot of ESP's and Dean Dime ML and V's at the thrash shows I went to last year
I think that sound double tracked would be most saturated. Both your Explorer and SG sound too clean through that amp for legit heavy thrash metal imo.
Well there you go , no wonder it didn't sound like heavy thrash , got to crank that gain way up . From what I heard that's a really nice sounding amp with the gain only on 4 . I'm not a fan of mega amounts of gain, I like overdriven tones that retain plenty of clarity and bite .I think that sound double tracked would be most saturated.
There's plenty of gain left on the knob of the SLO. It was at almost 4 of 11 on the dial.
Indeed! I've been keeping an eye out for a nice Dime ML to add to the collection myselfThose guitars certainly "look the part".
I had one years ago. Had an issue with the width of the neck.Indeed! I've been keeping an eye out for a nice Dime ML to add to the collection myself
I have read there are quite some quality differences between all the models. The only one I've played on was one in guitar center and it definitely needed a setup and felt cheap. If I run across one in good playing condition I'll probably pick it up just so I can keep one guitar tuned 432Hz for the Pantera tunes I knowI had one years ago. The top and bottom E strings would sometimes roll over the edge.. Never seen that before on any guitar.
Like either the neck was made too narrow, or the nut was wrong size/spacing.
The "non-Dime" ML's can be decent guitars.I have read there are quite some quality differences between all the models.
