Naw, TAG is a straight shooter that likes RF's tone and he likes to fire up the old guard there
He is outgunned though as several "builders" can flat out call him a cocksucker and not get the Peterson treatment while TAG will get hammered

His vocals are shamefully bad white boy blooze, but his guitar playing is nice.
i'm adding SRV and clapton to that pile. the only white guitarist i've ever heard do old black man blues vocals right is johny lang.
back to dumbles...my biggest gripe with that tone is it seems geared towards one primary thing ...jazz/blues lead playing, specifically instrumental, which it does in a very sweet cool way, but 50,000 for one tone that pigeonholes you into one musical thing? so then the cloners figure they can charge tons because it's still "way cheaper" than a real dumble
pass...i'd look for a zendrive or ethos pedal instead.

SRV wasn't too terrible, but he was no BB King...Clapton is terrible at blues vocals.

He's got the worst, most affected fake blues voice I've ever heard. He sounds like Bobcat Goldthwait when he sings. It's just awful and fake sounding.

Having played the real dealio myself, I gotta disagree. They won´t do metal but they shine in anything from funk to classic rock. Sure most people want them clones for the RF or LC tones but there are so many great tones to be found in these amps. I for one particularly enjoyed the clean channel with a strat set for a little bit of edge. Responsiveness is the first word that comes to mind. And tone is in the hands, these amps make you work and for sure the tone is in your hands. Dig in and you get a great crunch, hold back and it cleans up without even touching the volume control. To get the Dumble tones everybody raves about (RF), you have to hold back a bit, digging in gave the one I played a more Marshally edge.
