So, our own dedicated lounge.

What mods have you done? What do you like most? Least? Pedals? Speaker changes? Fav settings? Are women all over you now?
 
So, my question....what is the special designed speaker for the 112? The 2x12 has G12H.
Is it just a cheap Celestion?
 
Waiting on mine....should be at my local store very soon. Going to see how it couples with the EVH 212 cabinet. Have to be a bit careful because the wattage of the cab is lower than the head.

If the speakers don't work out, I'll put a couple of the Creambacks in there.
 
I'm got a Stealth incoming! Should be here next week and I can hardly wait to hear it.
 
I like it with v30s, I have an orange 1x12 with a v30 and a 2x12 with v30s and both cabs sound great with the 50 watt head, but its all subjective so IMHO..

I occasionally run my 100 watters through my EVH 2x12 for smaller gigs. No worries...you'll be fine as long as you don't dime the volume. I talked with Howard Kaplan about it when they first came out cause I was worried too. He said the cabs are rated at 50 watts continuous and that as long as you don't dime the volume of the amp you'll be fine. It sounds great by the way. I love the tilt feature of the 2x12 cab and so do most sound guys. ;) I also use my 100 watters with a Mesa Recto 2x12 cab with V30's and it sounds good too.

Anybody catch Jake E. Lee sporting the Stealth now? He's got it sitting on top of a Marshall in this pic.

I have the Stealth and the 50 watt. I like to roll back the gain on the blue channel and smack it with a Rocket Fuel Aldrich pedal.

Yes I know it makes no sense but it sounds so good I cant stop doing it.

I gig with the EVH 4x12 and EVH 2x12. Also sounds great through my Splawn 2x12 with sb25s.
 
I liked the first 5153 50 I had through a Marshall VM 4x12, G12C greenbacks much better than the matching EVH 4x12.

I've got the 50 watt head and two 2x12's. I pretty much stay on the blue channel and hit it with either a Maxon OD808 or a Boss OD1X. Both sound great and compliment the amp well.

How big is the difference in Gain between them?
I mean, when you have the 50w with the Blue at noon where do you set the Gain on the Stealth Blue?

Good question. They are close. Ill have to AB them properly and report back. The Blue channel on the Stealth was worth the purchase price for me ( I flipped a year old 5153 standard to pay for half of it or so). I really dig the individual resonance controls also.

And the 50 watt sounds great low volume and fits on the floor passenger seat so its a great backup. Need to try the line out and headphone stuff yet.
 
I've got the mini and matching 212. Tilt feature is really nice. No mods or Anything exotic.
I run a joyo 6 band and Joyo vintage phase In the front. The 6 band gives a little boost and sizzle. Tce mini HOF and Delay In the loop.

Such a nice amp. Ran it thru a open back 212 with 25w greenback reissues initially and it sounded good, but there is something about the volume of space in the EVH cab that creates a nice roomy feel even at low volumes. It's much bigger sounding I guess than the open back I have.

So lump me in to the group of Evh drunk guy homers.... :lol: :LOL: :yes: :rock:
