The Friedman BE-100 Pedal Sounds Sick!!!

If this pedal gets close to the HBE mode on the BE100 amp, I'll buy one. I've been haunted by that amp since I played it last week.

I would love to hear it through an amp that is not a friedman. haha.

I am sure a lot of pedals would sound good through an amp that good; the real test will be hearing it through other amps.

how about through a stock DSL or peavey classic 50 or a fender twin? to me that would be the real test - common backline amps.

Agreed!

There's a interview somewhere where a guy asked Dave the same thing. He said the pedal sounds so good because it's through one of his Friedman amps, probably not as good through other amps.

Dave's reply was not at all and said the pedal sounded just as good through any amp.

Hoping he's right because if that's true he will sell a ton of these. Me being one of them. :D

I saw this pedal on other forums today too. Interested after reading up on it.

Has this been released yet? I haven't seen any out in the wild

Not yet released. From one YT video I saw it's placed for release around Julyish. Sooner the better!
No matter how expensive it is I'll end up getting one I think. It's gotta be cheaper than the amps themselves, and for how comparable it seems from these videos, I just gotta.

yup....play it thru a hot rod deluxe, or a JC-120 and make it sound good

We NEEED Pete Thorn to do a demo of the BE pedal!
If Pete's busy I'd be happy to "fill in"!!! Lol!

Wonder how this would do out front of the Fryette Power Station...

Totally. I intend to use it in front of an EHX Magnum 44 as a more light-weight rig.

I sometimes use a Carl Martin Plexitone S in front of it, but I like the idea the BE-OD's extra tone shaping options and higher gain.

Uh oh. My JHS Angry Timmons has some competition.
Can't wait to try this one out.
