Reverb.com isn't inclined to do anything because the get income from their sales -- both good and bad. They must figure they make more by keeping their account active and letting them sell.

I want to thank you guys for alerting me to this poorly run business. I was getting close to ordering a Bogner amp and they were one of the only places that had the model listed in stock on Reverb. I’d never heard of them so I googled their name. After reading this thread I contacted them through Reverb and asked if the amp was definitely in stock and if there was anything that would prevent it from being shipped out within 24-hours once I purchase.

He at least did answer honestly that it is not in stock and he could order one for me. He said the listing on Reverb was by mistake and he would remove it. That was two weeks ago and the listing is still live. This seems to be his business model.

Lying piece of shit. He also has listings for items under the allowable dealer listing price for items he doesn't have.

So glad you found out before you wasted your time brother, which Bogner was it?

I ordered one last night from Vision Guitar. They confirmed through messaging that they have a brand new one in the box. But I called them on the phone and left messages for three days and they never returned any of my calls so I was a bit suspicious of them also.

Reality vs Illusion. As this contrived collapse progresses, the struggle to maintain the illusion of normality will intensify. Don't wait to see artificial food items (and/or pictures of food items) on your grocer shelves. If you live in an urban area, where are you going to get food if it is not getting delivered? I've always told people; "The only reason your neighbors aren't trying to break your door down, is because they are not hungry enough to do it."

Law enforcement can't do it all. Building a defensive community security team will be a priority.

If it's Vision Guitar in San Jose, they're legit. I've purchased a few pieces of gear from them. The governor's COVID rules are still pretty strict here, so their brick and mortar shop may not be open to the public. It's ridiculous here.

How does this work if your neighbors are assholes?
Assuming that "asshole" means uncooperative... In such an instance, you would be forced to rely on law enforcement and/or private security. Any contingency plan should be implemented in cooperation with your local authorities.

Thanks! Yes the amp I ordered from Vision Guitar arrived quickly.
Very odd that they never answer their phone or return phone calls when you leave a message. But when I placed the order through Reverb they shipped it out the same day.

Haven't checked in here for years. But today I was gonna send almost $3K to TGGN for the guitar he is selling. And right before Christmas I was burnt for over $5K by this "famous" Mark's Loft guy ( the story will be posted later), so I decided to google this TGGN place and this topic comes up. Just want to thank OP for the thread. No way I'm sending my money that way. It's getting harder and harder to buy something online

Mark's Guitar Loft?

I’m curious to hear this one. I made one of my most expensive amp purchases last year through Mark’s Guitar Loft and all was good, but maybe I was just lucky

There'll be detailed video with every step described and you'll be the judge. I've been actively buying guitars for over 35 years and I've never seen this kind of behavior ever.

+1 I’ve purchased a couple of LPs from him with no problems. One arrived with a very minor issue from shipping, he called to apologize for it and quickly made it right. He seemed like an ok dude.

Well I just checked again and the Guitar Guru Network still has their Reverb ad for the Bogner amp that they do not have in stock.

First, thank you all for posting your stories. It kept me from purchasing an amp this week from The Guitar Guru Network. I saw these posts after I had initiated a conversation with them and quickly realized that what I was hot to order, wasn't going to be in stock.
When I asked if the Mezzabarba Skill 30 was in stock, I got a reply saying, "The one we have seems to be spoken for as it must have been a pre order." I knew it was a load of crap due to everyone here who posted, so thank you again!

These scammers still have the amp up for sale, and it says they have 2 in stock. I would suggest that we make complaints to the BBB, maybe even to the City of Atlanta. Leave a rating on Google Maps, point it to this thread. Create reviews outside of Reverb's control. Email manufacturers that he is listing their product for sale and he doesn't have it.

Hopefully more people stay away from The Guitar Guru Network. Buy elsewhere for sure. I wouldn't risk buying strings from them personally after reading this thread.

TGGN sales shirts, strings, pedals, cables, and an occasional amp or guitar. Basically, they are a guitar accessory shop that will collect people's hard-earned money and then orders gear they don't have in stock.

Keep Rock'n,

Ian

Yep, you dodged a bullet. Guy's a scumbag.

You know --even if the guy was legit , if you're willing to rely on drop ship orders in 2022 you are seriously misguided . I am personally sick of ALL the websites that say more on order but no definite timeframe for when that will happen. Really tired of it.

I actually had a problem with him in the last year on a Synergy module I ordered with 100 excuses on why it didn't happen . NEVER AGAIN !
