making the rounds, got a new pedal to peddle... :D

nothing wrong with that though. It is his pedal after all, not some random social media channel shilling it for compensation

Interesting fly rig concept. I dig it, but not at that price.

I honestly feel like he's the same as any other youtuber guitar star with signature gear, he's got great humor and skill but his style doesn't interest me enough to like him more than others on YouTube..

The larger monster is a cool pedal board however I already have all but one of the pedals either from JAM or other builders. The only one I am missing is the Gristle King and if JAM builds one as a stand alone I will buy it. And the monster is a lot of money although to compare there is a 900.00 three pedal total from Thorpy and from JAM the Pink Flow, 1K for 6 pedals vs 10 pedals at roughly 200 per pedal for the monster.

He's a killer player and yeah, dude is absolutely hilarious. but it's all about the songs. That's the problem I see with most youtubers. All guitar, no songs. I would rather listen to average guitar playing with great vocals and songs than amazing guitar playing with lousy vocals and songs.

I noticed Guthrie Trapp and Tom Bukovac have been touring. Guthrie is one of my fave non-blues players. Just a great guitarist, well rounded. But TBH the shows seemed like a G3 tour type thing. Just not very interesting to me.

If you were to buy each of the Individual pedals from JAM the cost is $2691 not including the Gristle King that sells for $199. Total for all pedals would be $2890. That's a savings of $700 (24%). Starting to eyeball some of my pedals to sell to at least cover half the cost. Surprised there isn't a compressor for chicken picking.

I think the key to analog and some of the older mfx are the limits and constraints. I had both a G-System and Nova System back in the day, the fixed order of effects and the effects themselves had to be something you were willing to accept for the sounds and capabilities they provide. Unfortunately for both, it took years to get the input buffers right but by then there were many other options available.

I have a Helix Floor, and for years avoided the ISP Theta Pro DSP because of what was available at similar price points; last year I found Michael Sweet version in like new condition at a great price and got it...it reminds me of my old rack rigs with a great preamp and good selection of effects again in a fixed signal chain. While it looks limited on paper, the cab sims sound very good; and using it as a preamp/effects into a tube power amp and guitar cabs it really shines...'80s hair metal in a box, and much more. Highly underrated but limited features vs other options around the same price IMO. Not unlike this MFX from Jam pedals

Ehhh... Not quite.

Is this a copy-paste from the youtube comments from the link? Reason I ask is because I was the one that debated with someone who said the same thing you just did but I made some good counter points on that comment section, allow me to repeat on why it wouldn't be nearly the same thing as getting them separately:

A.) You can't change the order on any of the pedals, that's right, the chain is set in stone and that has nothing to do with analog, it's just the way they designed it.

B.) If one chip fries, the whole thing is useless and must be sent back (you don't want to try to repair this thing on your own). What's the safety net here? There is none, you could buy a whole other Cock Monster Deluxe if you need the same sound.

C.) Wah pedal welded on to the rest of it looks like a possible weak point. This isn't an assumption but going by physics of design. It looks like it can break or snap off, easily and since the pedal doesn't come with a hard case, it's obvious that it's even more possible.

D.) The Wah pedal doesn't double as a volume or expression pedal. Most analog/digital units that have a treadle pedal have 3 modes of operation included. It's kinda strange to tout a pedal for its versatility when it's limited by the builder/artists design.

E.) Pedals bought in a package usually have a huge discount anyway, this isn't anything out of the ordinary.

F.) No ability to power the pedals with a choice of 9v, 12v or 18v.

So yeah, we can't HONESTLY compare them with buying the pedals seperate. There's way too many variables within the parameters to make the call. Jam Pedals go on sale for 40% off every once in a while, you may as well get the ones you want and put a decent Wah instead. You'll literally end up spending less than buying the Cock Moster Deluxe lol

Nah, I just added them up. To respond to you since the overdrive's are in front of the modulation wouldn't change the order. I don't repair pedals, although I do normal maintenance on my guitars to include new pots, pickup changes other than that, no hot iron work, don't want or like the wah, powering the pedals with anything other than what is called for is also something I don't do. For example 9V = 9V adapter and Past FX Flangers get 18V.

And unlike everyone I know, I still don't own a pedal board, throw my pedals on a piece of carpet and run separate power supplies for each of them. Lots of time I put them on top of my amp for ease of use and tweaking. Usually only have 3 or 4 running at one time and switch them out between sets if there is going to be anything unique like Hendrix needs a vibe.

Old school! I dig it. That was me for decades. Never had a pedalboard.

Fair enough, was just saying that alot of the freedoms that you have with putting your own thing together are gone with the Cock Monster and Cock Monster Deluxe.

Every point you made is a valid one, especially the Wah hanging off the end. Plus I will have a challenge spending over 2 grand on a packaged pedal board. I don't mind spending money however as stated I already have almost all of the pedals in one form or another.

If I am not on the ground bending over before the gig putting my pedals together the drummer will miss seeing the crack of my behind, which is a tradition.

I am also concerned that under the new European rules the light inside of vibes can no longer be used so not sure if the vibe is a newer version like the replacement Thorpy ER-2.

I did list a pedal in the classifieds but at around 100 bucks isn't going to help much, but it is a start!!

I don’t know who this product could possibly be meant for, especially considering the price. And the extra garish sparkle flake orange paint job gets an even harder “fuck no” from me.

The first thing I noticed was that the delay doesn’t have a tone knob, so I already knew I personally wouldn’t be interested even if it didn’t have an awful paint job… but that’s the thing about these all-in-one analog setups. To buy one, I’d have to think just about every included pedal was good enough to buy on its own… and I’d imagine most people at least think something similar, especially considering the crazy high cost of this thing in particular. That’s the danger. Mess up one pedal and the whole thing becomes kind of undesirable.

Weird thing to actually try to market to anyone. I am not certain who would want that instead of their board but I guess it could be for a very niche audience.

When I saw Koch live with Satch (LOL) I did not know who they guy was at the time. Hated everything he played that night. Was not working for me.

His solo stuff I saw later. Pretty dang cool and interesting. Great player. He worked way better outside of the Satriani stuff, which was basically him playing pentatonics over and over.
