Imagine thinking that everyone who's not agreeing with you on the internet must be a troll or a dualboxer.

/autism

Imagine being on the internet, acting like a troll and being called out for it and expecting to be taken seriously by anyone. It is the height of arrogance without merit

Interestingly enough our buddy SavageGuitah is really silent in his own thread now, even though he posts in others.

What's the matter, hon? No pot to stir? Have actual informative people like Zachman and myself (#humblebrag) discussed the merits and cons of lunchbox amps in a nuanced way that didn't suit your view? :confused: ;)

Or were you just trying to brag yourself about your 'upcoming rig'?

Cue 'witty' comeback and claims of intellectual superiority... :lol: :LOL:

He forgot which Alias he's posting under. Looks like it's kyss for the moment

Exactly;
I mentioned the absence of the TS and suddenly "Myself" & "Irene" showed up in this thread. :gay:

Anyway, back on topic, that cool 26 amp comparison video that Guitarjon did, did remove most of the Marshall Studio Classic (20W JCM800) GAS I had left. Of course it was unboosted, but with all the options nowadays available, I wouldn't be surprised if the 50W EVH's would give you more of the desired hot rodded Marshall meets Soldano tone on the blue channel.

To me the topic subject is inane and irrelevant because there are so many awesome options nowadays.

I used a 50watt EVH w/ a 1x12 EVH cab for rehearsal. I like that amp, but prefer my alternative. Even though the camera is getting slammed (We used to rehearsed LOUD)-- the notes are still articulate

One can use a small footprint solution like a Kemper, or Axe-Fx w/ ie's and NO cabs on stage, just the IE monitors-- and adjust the power amp listening levels EASILY, or use something the size of a lunchbox on a normal size cab or 2 or 4-- and save exactly ZERO space.

For the guys who want small and light because of back issues etc... Enjoy. :thumbsup:

For me, when I use gear 'other than' my preferred selection, I find that I can make do-- but can end up less inspired-- because I tend to also hear what's missing by contrast.

That said, I've done gigs w/ just an old BF Fender Princeton, a Strat and a tuner and a Dyna Comp and that worked fine, but not my preferred sonic selection.

I really want to try a couple of those Victory lunchbox amps. The Copper I think was like 35 watts and kinda AC30 based, and that 40 watt that Govan used to use sounds great. I'd love to find a lunchbox with a good bit of wattage, not a dinky 15 watter. For now, I'm sticking to full-sized heads, but I can't help but think some of the smaller amps I own liker the Bad Cats could be squeezed down into a metal chassis instead of wood, and maybe engineer a little tighter on the board. I play what makes the sound I want regardless of weight, but if I can save myself a little weight I'm not opposed to it.
