I saw it used for $800 and realized the p90's weren't hum producers and grabbed it.
The last p90 guitar I had was unplayable with even small amounts of gain.
I haven't tried removing the battery, that would make it unplayable at gigs...but I know what you mean about trying it.

Don't know what kind of rosewood it is, but it's real purty!
Great looking wood texture all over this axe...the flame top, the fretboard...and the back of the neck is just riddled with birdseye.

Problem is a local large music store keeps having really nice ones used for half price and they have all been in like new condition...I can't walk away.
