See that's the thing. "Normal" people don't get special treatment. I can understand the idea, but closer scrutiny it just doesn't pan out. I'm guessing that 95% of the country, religious or not, would not give a shit if not for these parades and this idea that we have to "Celebrate" it. Therein lies the problem. LGBT∞ don't just want legal rights, they want everyone else to believe and applaud.

I just don’t see it that way. Pride parades and whatever are for eachother. For other like minded people to get together to celebrate it. Just because they do it in public doesn’t mean they are looking for special treatment.

I think the only people who feel like they are being forced or expected to celebrate it, are people they have a problem with it.

if people were indifferent to it, like myself, it wouldn’t bother them

I had to play guitar in music class, I thought it was great. Piano and recorder not so much

Sort of a broad statement, but it certainly could make them a bigot. Lots of people have all kinds of prejudices. It’s a fact of life, I’m sorry you don’t like hearing you may have some of your own.

Sure, I have my predjudices, and I don't think I'm a "bad" person for it either.

On the other hand, I would never try to stop someone from being gay or whatever it is they want to be. But I also don't want to have to play some stupid game with pronouns or pretend its all fabulous!

Well in just this thread, Picasso called gay people freaks and that the rainbow flag is a symbol for mental illness. PLX chimed in that it’s actually a satanic symbol. Not to mention various mentions of grooming and other radical intent.
Even now states are still trying to get around federal laws disallowing them to ban gay marriage.

Ya think being called a bigot is annoying? Try being called a satanic freak with protesters outside your wedding.
I’m not saying you are one of those people, but I reckon that’s not something you’ve ever had to worry about either

So to that end, I’m ok with them throwing themselves a parade.
