Thanks Dan for the cool words on the VM. Thanks Paige!! Was a great day getting to meet some guys for the first time even though I've talked to them here and some on the phone many times before. Got to hang with to"old" friends. Hope Mike and Bill get home ok. My fat ass hass to be back up for work in less than 5 and half hours.

The Cameron was a very cool amp. Like a sweet Plexi, a touch of Soldano and a good bit of a unique tone that ripped. Fat yet clear with tons of sustain. Nice! The Mk III I played didn't dissapoint. Mesa Mk series magic was there. Bills Eggie had all sorts of fantastic tones. I can't imagine a gigging guitarist not loving these preamp modules. Bill sets his stuff a lot warmer than I do so I should have got in there a tweaked more but I was to busy listening to all the wicked shredding going on around me. Paige had to Killer Camron modded Marshalls. I think I like dthe Jose better than the Aldrich but it was too close to call. Both tore my head off. Lots of sweet amps, killer guitars and great people. I really enjoyed myself. Almost died a few times coming over the mountain here but(the last 30 minutes of my drive was the worst of the whole trip) but I'm glad I went. Hope to see you all again.

Jim

It was nice to meet everybody - thanks for the hospitality Paige. I will plug in that pedal tomorrow and let you know...

Thanks to all for making the trip! It was great to see the Pittsburgh guys again and it's always a pleasure to hang with Ralph, Harry, Kage, Dan, Ivan and Dave. Also, props to Chris Schmidt and his buddy for coming by with the Cameron CCM. It sounded great guys! The boosted VM killed through both of my vintage Marshall cabs. I thought Bill's Eggie rack sounded amazing as well. Of course the Boogies didn't sound too shabby either  .

I'm glad to see everyone made it home safe and sound!

Whew, I made it back alive. Wow, what a great time. The best part was meeting my buddies who I've known online for a while but hadn't met in person. Thanks to Paige for being a great host and thanks to Mike for driving me and Jim.

I do think we set a world record for the amount of notes played in one room in such a short timespan. Some really amazing players in that room for sure.

There were so many cool amps and guitars. I like pretty much everything there but my particular favorites were Cameron "Aldrich" modded Marshall and the CCM that Chris brought in. That thing is super loud!!! I dug the Mesa MKIII and I was amazed at how much gain that thing has for not being boosted. That Charvel had the absolute lowest action (without buzzing) I've ever played in my life. It should be illegal for guitars to be that easy to play. :D Kage's FLoyd Les Pauls were sweet as well.

I thought the VM hung with the Camerons, and it sounded good with the master pretty low. I remember i lowered the master for a few seconds while someone was playing. From what i heard, the VM with a boost easily hangs with any JCM800 that i have heard. And for a 2 amp setup, the VM along with a Boogie Mark III would be perfect. Mark III's can be found for a great price, i got that one for $700 at GC.

And I'm not taking a thing away from the Camerons as they sound killer, as usual. Seems like my VM experience was a lot like my Stiletto experience. Everytime i played Stiletto's in the store they sound like ass, until i bought one because it was cheap. After messing with it i found it to be a very good amp capable of good tones. Seems like either i wasn't tweaking the VM the right way, or i don't like the cabs they had them on. The VM's i played were never on the VM cabs, they were probably on 75's, which i don't like.

Yeah, on the way home I mentioned that we forgot to take a group shot. I know Chris from Cameron amps was napping a few pictures but I think he was the only guy. Hopefully he'll post some.

Man it is H's bends and phrasing that blow me away, the dude is one of my inspirations for sure! I could sit bad and just listen to him for hours.

I have covered my thoughts of Ralphie plenty enough......it has been covered

I had a blast on Sunday fellas, it was great to hang with you all , especially, Bill, Jim and Mike, guys that Ive known and talked to for ages but have never met, Great players and guys all of them.

I enjoyed everything that I played through but for me, I still love the Mk series boogs the best. Out of the other stuff there, Paiges Cameron Aldrich mod and especially Jim's boosted VM were my favorites, that thing blew me away!!!

Thanks so much for the hospitality Paige!!!

Kage

Hey guys,

Sorry I wasn't able to make it. Hopefully, Kage passed on the news. I did offer for him to pick up the Herbert on the way to Paige's but I'm sure that they were packed full of gear. I just had a rough few days at work. Nothing to worry about just a lot of stuff to take care of. I worked till at least 9:30PM the past two days.

First off...thanks to Paige for hosting this great event. I know we all had a blast.

We live way too close to each other not to do this more often. I'll have to try to organize one in the near future.

Here are a few pics. I didn't take too many since I was having so much fun checking out all the guitars and amps. I may have some video of Ralphie jamming but I'll have to post that at a later date on youtube. I'll send a link when posted. Enjoy....
