The reason why I will remain a faithful Modular user...

I'm playing in a rock cover band right now, and our music requires guitar tones ranging from dead clean to pumped Marshall, and everything in between. I use an M4 and RT2/50. With a D/D, VX, SL2X, and COD (along with the Les Paul, Strat, and Tele) I can faithfully, reliably, and repeatably hit just about any guitar sound I need except for modern metal, which we don't play anyway. MIDI switching makes it all easy. What's not to love?

Most of the guitarists to whom I've shown my rig are actually kind of bewildered, although impressed, by the whole mess. The one guy who I'd expect to throw out some barbs (he's an AC30 purist) recognizes that I can and have walked circles around him, with regard to flexibility, and can match him on tone. I have an AC30 as well, but I use it as my home recording rig because, live, the M4 setup can just do so much more.

It's definitely a keeper.

Glad to see ya pop back in. Nice setup, I do not think you have ever posted a pic of your gear before.

Ever play a PRS   You have enough of them ?

Hey man! Here is the thread: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=99230&p=1289252#p1289252

Haha yeah I love PRS, and Egnater, both just work so well for me and work well together. I am very very happy

Been absent for a bit, trying to see if there's anything I missed out there in the gear world that'd be for me during this time.

Amen brother! . . . Or should I say "sister"?

I just got back from being able to jam a little on my rig without anyone else around. Any of you guys that may or may not also have a Mesa amp w/ simul-class and the GEQ, you totally owe it to yourselves to give it a try. Scooped EG5? I think so!!  but at the touch of a button/program change, I'm back to all the great Egnater midrange that I know and love, especially for leads. I've definitely got the best of both worlds (modular and traditional designs) for what I do now.
