Everything (amps/pedals, etc) is made in the USA as per Friedman and ETI (except a simple footswitch). If people still don't believe it, they offered a tour of their facility to watch them building the BE100 and other amps/pedals 100% in house in CA.

I'd say yes to the clean channel

Was kinda curious about the same thing, although using the smallbox clean channel for this. It's kinda (hard to tell from a video) sounds like the pedal has been designed for HBE level of saturation (?), unlike the smallbox, even though it's called the "BE-100 Overdrive"?? Thinking I may add the pedal, making the SB a three headed monster: plexi/clean channel, BE channel, HBE (via the pedal). Of course the stock SB BE channel is crushing enough with a boost so I dunno, the new pedal may be redundant...but it does sound sexy.
