Watched it again and there are parts that sound like they could be nice if it didn't sound like some sort of weird palm muted nylon string walmart guitar.
@RaceU4her is right in that he can shred, but with the sound coming out of that, I cannot take him or his facial expressions seriously.

I think it would be much better if the little rake trick was used sparingly to accent certain parts instead of using it throughout the whole thing. It reminds me of when I was younger and would learn a new trick or technique and I'd make a full song with that trick all over the song. It never sounded good.
A shame because the solo was good and it has the bones to build on.
