That sounds more realistic to me, but then again I’ve read stories of these top influencers making tens of millions a year, I’d assume he must have a pretty sizable social media presence so maybe he is raking it in. One of the top tiktok’ers lives the town over from me and made like 35 million or something absurd

Strange post. I’m sure at one point some of your favorite players redefined the guitar, then inevitably coasted throughout the rest of their careers riding that accomplishment. I too am sometimes guilty of being a metal Mennonite whereby my favorite players certainly redefined things at one time but I also ignored other emerging styles that pushed the instrument further.

Of course everyone can listen to anything they want and praise it etc. The skill level of these guys is off the charts. But it does not sound very musical to my ears and tastes. If it is just a demonstration of chops that is cool and many before have done that. In that clip I did not hear much air or space between notes to let anything breathe and it sounded somewhat helter skelter in a way to me that did not appeal to me. Yeah, I am old. I guess in my old age I have come to appreciate songs more and melodies more.
