Not I - I was wondering if there was some kind of update over the weekend.
With the $ on the line, the timing and how everyone else seems to be getting on, I almost want to pull out.
In the end I've paid nearly as much as getting one from MF, with the whole idea of getting to be among the first to own one.
So, that's not panning out - SteveVHT is hit or miss on the forum (he's having to work doubles) - and I still have to wait for it when it finally arrives in NY, while MF is taking pre-orders, offers free shipping (and a return policy, not that I anticipate needing it), for not that much more.
I'm getting a bit frustrated with it overall...
30 days since paypal charged me =/

It's not Mesa time consuming but there are so many knobs that it does take awhile but now I love it. It's kind of a half assed modern metal tone as this is voiced as JCM 800 on mega- 'roids so it's more 80's metal to me but I finally got OD2 to sound pretty damn good.

I agree that this is more a classic rock to 80's metal to shred type of an amp than a modern metal machine. The clean and crunch channels will also appeal to even country, blues and jazz players I'll bet. I feel this amp excels at pretty much everything but the ultra modern thing like the Uber and Powerball do so well. Still somebody will probably prove me wrong.

My friend says he is getting channel three powerball sounds out of OD2 on the jvm now that he spent over a week just tweaking that channel. He said the tone is close enough that he is thinking of selling the powerball. I will hear them both Friday so I can let you know.

I always have a tough time when I hear people say this and I will explain why. Does the tone of the amp dictate what is current or is it the player? Put me on a MKIV and it sounds like 80's metal, Put Zorran on the same amp and it sounds current. People throughout the years have been using Marshalls with distortion boxes for Metal and Newer type metal for years without any change in design yet why is the voicing not dated?
I'm not so sure the voicing has a lot to do with it. That is my current outlook on this idea but it is subject to change without notice!!
