The comment about Zorren is very true, I cannot get my MK IV to sound like him but I am guessing that alot of that has to do with his chops and style of play.

Man between......

MK IV
JVM
PODXT Pro
Olaf Black Tiger.......I am one lucky guy with a boatload of tonal options :D

Yes I did and it looks awesome!

Going through the parts I am missing the main jewel light but I will pick one of those up from metro.....purple of course ;)

Also I do not see the orange caps like on this pic.........

I have not completed an inventory though.

I don't use them anymore - the frontplate (sorry for the hijacking btw) has just two holes for the LEDs - since one should be always "on" (depending on the channel) you have an indicator ;)

No Orange Drops - you have Xicons for the tonestack and coupling, Silver Mica for the Picos and some electrolytics for the cathodes - and filtering of course.

There comes a time where you will, definitely . . . :D:D:D

Different brands of Caps make a difference, thats true - and I really like (in that pic above) those cheap Wimas Peter also uses for his amps. The problem with them is, that they are not easy to work with in a DIY amp like yours, thats why Xicons are cool - they do sound good, are not too expensive and are easy to solder.

And you can play around with different caps once you hate me - when you're finished with it :D

I always have a tough time when I hear people say this and I will explain why. Does the tone of the amp dictate what is current or is it the player? Put me on a MKIV and it sounds like 80's metal, Put Zorran on the same amp and it sounds current. People throughout the years have been using Marshalls with distortion boxes for Metal and Newer type metal for years without any change in design yet why is the voicing not dated?
I'm not so sure the voicing has a lot to do with it. That is my current outlook on this idea but it is subject to change without notice!!

I couldn't agree more. I made some clips a couple months ago with my Blackmore that were totally different from one another amd all I did was either roll my guitar volume down or lower the gain on the amp. I didn't even touch the tone stack. I can't wait for my JVM and I plan on doing a killer clips post as soon as I get it.
