Mentioning Cameron around here Is like....
Honestly, I really don't remember. I had the Chupa when they first came out. I loved it and regret selling it to this day. I had a Quickrod for a minute that was close but no cigar. The 2555x just happened to be the one that really got my attention. It sucked out of the box but came to life with new tubes and a little hot bias.Shit i meant chuppa.
Having bought one direct from Ceriatone I'll add a couple notes (not affiliated)Great values though and offer a lot of flexibility.
Nice!I recently got my first modded marshall, Ceriatone Molecular 50w. While diode clipping is great, without diodes engaded it sounds very good with sd-1 in front. I know that the amp is based on cameron atomica, so without diodes engaded it's probably similar to stock jcm800, never had one though. Great thing about this amp is that there is resonance control and negative feedback. With stock jcm800 you can't get that extra low end from the amp, i asume. I was wondering now if there's a reason to have 2204 while having molecular which is based on that amp and has more options or maybe tonally they have lot's of difference. Would be cool to get some insight about it from the users of these amps. Cheers.
One of the best tones out there IMO....That's all i play anymore.....Stock JMP boosted....Mark Cameron told me on many occasions that is the best tone out there... And when he mods an amp he has to achieve a better tone than the boosted Marshall....Which is not easy...
Check out my Fortin Bones mod JCM!
I had a Ceriatone 2204 and molecular. The molecular without the clipping etc covers the same space.I recently got my first modded marshall, Ceriatone Molecular 50w.
