Shit i meant chuppa.
Honestly, I really don't remember. I had the Chupa when they first came out. I loved it and regret selling it to this day. I had a Quickrod for a minute that was close but no cigar. The 2555x just happened to be the one that really got my attention. It sucked out of the box but came to life with new tubes and a little hot bias.

Great values though and offer a lot of flexibility.
Having bought one direct from Ceriatone I'll add a couple notes (not affiliated)
1. Came in under the quoted 6 weeks.
2. Emails back and forth with Nik were fast and easy. Want a unique mod? No problem.
3. The packing was RIDICULOUS! I think the amp would have easily survived a 10 foot drop.
The amp itself came shrunk wrapped - makes sense - keep the elements out during transit.
4. After I got it wanted to tweak the bright switch value and Nik walked me through it.
Very satisfied customer.

Have to mention the Friedman Pink Taco head I had. Another great nod to Marshall.

I recently got my first modded marshall, Ceriatone Molecular 50w. While diode clipping is great, without diodes engaded it sounds very good with sd-1 in front. I know that the amp is based on cameron atomica, so without diodes engaded it's probably similar to stock jcm800, never had one though. Great thing about this amp is that there is resonance control and negative feedback. With stock jcm800 you can't get that extra low end from the amp, i asume. I was wondering now if there's a reason to have 2204 while having molecular which is based on that amp and has more options or maybe tonally they have lot's of difference. Would be cool to get some insight about it from the users of these amps. Cheers.
Nice!

I ordered a modded Ceriatone 2204 a couple weeks ago. I was looking at a lot of the hot rod models, the Molecular included as well as the Gargoyle, the Yeti and the AFD. The hesitation I had with them was while I knew they could do high gain I wasn't super convinced they could hit the (relatively) lower gain sounds that I wanted. Now I'm wondering if I was wrong?

As someone who likes to play ERGs and lower tunings, I don’t think I’ve ever achieved what I’ve wanted out of any amp until my Hermansson Marshall. Amazing for saggy E standard brown sound all the way to super tight super modern drop E on an 8 string. By far my favourite modern style Marshall mod

One of the best tones out there IMO....That's all i play anymore.....Stock JMP boosted....Mark Cameron told me on many occasions that is the best tone out there... And when he mods an amp he has to achieve a better tone than the boosted Marshall....Which is not easy...

what’s your preferred boost

I had a Cameron Marshall 15 years ago that I bought from chubtone. 100w plexi reissue. If you turned off the mod with a switch and boosted it with a SD-1 it was the murdering amp of a lifetime.

Chubguy later said that I fucked with the amp as it ended up in the hands of Harry Kody. I never touched the thing, and fuck you.

After many years in the hunt a tech who is one of the best to ever tweak a marshall said, "man, these guys did just about everything perfect when they designed these amps." I agree.

I had a Ceriatone 2204 and molecular. The molecular without the clipping etc covers the same space.

I just got my V2 Caldera and it is reminds me of a molecular a lot. A bit less gain. I'm really digging it a lot.
