Obviously, my MGL Red is my favorite. But when trying to come up with other two, it is a bit hard.

I think diesel vh2 may be my second, just because the voicing was so good. Or it may be a vht ultralead which had a beautiful voicing also.

So those will be my three, with honorable mention to wizard mtl KT150, groundzero moab, and mesa mark IV

Laney GH100L
Vox AC 30 Top Boost from the 60s.
An old friends Mesa Dual Rec, best one I have ever heard. Was very surprised at the time. It was not flubby at all without boost. Do not know the revision. I know it had chrome tread plate. That thing made me smile wide.

I almost purchased one new in 99-00.

The retailer didn't have one in stock. Had money burning a hole in my pocket.

Purchased my first Laney. GH100L, with matching 4 x 12. Paid 1350 with tax, out the door.

It won out against the 5150 at the time. Been a Laney guy ever since.

My buds Dual Rec was very special. Very loud. And had this nice bite and attack. Which most don't necessarily attribute to rectos. Not overly bassy...but he may have run an eq in the loop.

The rockerverb kind of surprises me, but i hear such great things about them..

The thing is that these are all pretty different from each other. More or less if I only could have three amps, would probably be those ones. I'm sure there may be better ones out there, but played probably around 100 amps a few years ago with my guitars and cabs and the Fireball and Rockerverb stood out the most to me while still preferring my Thrasher to other dry-ish modern high gain amps. I don't have a tone, tbh. Sometimes I like distorted, clean or low-fi, dark or bright, tight or loose, modern or vintage voiced, etc... Just depends on my mood and what I'm doing. 🤷‍♀️
