Acdc powerage and Van Halen 1
Paranoid , sabotage , and master of reality

Great pickup soldering music.

I love me some CCR

Here's another 70's favorite of mine and one of the first albums I had. Johnny Winter with Muddy Waters. Johnny really smokes on this record:

He and Muddy had a great run in the 70’s. I really like the Hard Again record. It just sounds amazing.

Agreed! I had it on cassette, was among the first few albums I had, and it was formative for me. It wasn't until over 20 years later I discovered that it was Johnny Winter on guitar. Info back then was so hard to come across out in BF Egypt if it wasn't in the liner notes. I think Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin is also on that record. Johnny's slide work is SEARING on that album and really sets the whole thing off. One of my all time favorite blues records.

That’s the challenge…only five. No honorable mentions, etc. Whenever I see these type threads there are always people who just can’t narrow it down and list every damn thing they like. Leave room for others…don’t /thread with a bazillion choices. That’s the challenge!

I’ll be a bit odd;
1) Simon and Garfunkel greatest hits 1972.
2) Fleetwood Mac. Rumors
3) CSN&Y. Deja Vu
4) anything eagles
5) VH1
And 1000 others. Kudos to MJ off the wall. That is my favorite MJ era. Even though Thriller is killer; that was the end of him for me… he went crazy, just like Madonna, Prince, Brittany and all the others who become idolized. Rule of thumb… being famous is bad for humans.

RUSH 1974,
Regatta Del Blanc, The Police 1979,
Kiss, Destroyer 1976,
Weather Report- Heavy Weather 1977,
Queen, A Night at the Opera, 1975

my first thought was Boston

70's is a tricky decade especially considering more (slightly) obscure bands. Trapeze, Wishbone Ash, Sir Lord Baltimore, Pentagram, Uriah Heep, Captain Beyond, Budgie etc
