I love me some CCR
Here's another 70's favorite of mine and one of the first albums I had. Johnny Winter with Muddy Waters. Johnny really smokes on this record:
Agreed! I had it on cassette, was among the first few albums I had, and it was formative for me. It wasn't until over 20 years later I discovered that it was Johnny Winter on guitar. Info back then was so hard to come across out in BF Egypt if it wasn't in the liner notes. I think Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin is also on that record. Johnny's slide work is SEARING on that album and really sets the whole thing off. One of my all time favorite blues records. He and Muddy had a great run in the 70’s. I really like the Hard Again record. It just sounds amazing.

It most definitely seems that way if you're reading what some folks are spouting in OT...I was under the impression that we got to pick and choose our sources here on the internet

That’s the challenge…only five. No honorable mentions, etc. Whenever I see these type threads there are always people who just can’t narrow it down and list every damn thing they like. Leave room for others…don’t /thread with a bazillion choices. That’s the challenge!I had a hard time sticking to only 5 as well 311splawndude............................![]()
