That’s the challenge…only five. No honorable mentions, etc. Whenever I see these type threads there are always people who just can’t narrow it down and list every damn thing they like. Leave room for others…don’t /thread with a bazillion choices. That’s the challenge!

My excuse was that wanted to provide people with more options for their top five

Yeah, impossible to narrow it down to 5, but these were contenders:

Boston - Boston
Weather Report - Heavy Weather
Michael Jackson - Off the Wall
Toto - Toto
Little River Band - Diamantina Cocktail

My favorites.

UFO Strangers in the Night
Led Zeppelin Physical Graffiti
Van Halen 1
Rainbow Long Live Rock and Roll
Scorpions Tokyo Tapes

This is my kinda thread but honestly there's just so much killer stuff from the 70's my list would be huge.

Albums by Queen, Thin Lizzy, Journey, Kiss, Zeppelin, Van Halen, Cheap Trick, The Police, Rush, Boston, Cars, AC/DC etc... you get the picture.

Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin 4
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies
Aerosmith - Rocks
Boston - Boston

Too many choices. I didn't even mention Deep Purple, KISS, Sabbath, Scorpions, etc, etc

Monkey my man... At least Lisa was only off by 7 months with Back in Black... Third Stage is from '86. 🤣
D'Oh! :doh:Thanks man.

I actually had "Boston" and edited it to "Third Stage". I blame the cover art; it's all very... Bostony.

You all got the good ones, I will just add Elton John to the list.

My mom loved Elton John so I was a fan from the beginning. Great songwriting!

I also love Stevie Wonder. He was king for a minute there. Songs in the Key of Life is killer!
That bass!

70's damn...that's bit there.
Band of Gypsys machine gun.
Zeppelin the song remains the same live.
Sabbath Sabbath bloody sabbath/Sabotage
Van Halen 1, for saving us from disco
Kiss Alive - I mean, who didn't have that

I was born in the 70s. I had to go back later to appreciate all of that stuff.

Rush - 2112
Queen - News Of The World
Pink Floyd - DSOTM
Van Halen - Van Halen
Styx - The Grand Illusion
Kiss - Alive!
Ted Nugent - Double Live Gonzo
AC/DC - Highway to Hell
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti

Too many to list, but those stand out for me. Zeppelin IV had huge hits, but Physical Graffiti had more, IMO..
