I will leave all details of this module up to Jeff if he wants to tell what it is, or what it will be. I can tell you that what it is so far is freaking BAD ASS!!!

Jeff asked if I could make a clip or two and this is a quickie I did this morning.

***THIS MESSAGE WILL SELF DESTRUCT***

Just stop it already!! :gethim: :(   Just more money out of my wallet, plus I'm blocked from this here at work........

I need way more info and at least a clip with no backing track. That said, it does sound pretty heavy and I'm interested. The clip sounds a bit dark but heavy. That's why I'd like to hear it outside of a mix.

What guitar/pickups?
What cabinet/speakers?
What power amp (assuming it was in the M4)?

Thanks.

Dave

Actually it was the mystery module into my Axe-FX for the cab sim. No power amp or mics were used. I had intended to combine the Axe's cab simulator along with actual microphones but I'm having some "issues" with my poweramp right now and it's not in the rack. The guitar was my Anderson DropTop with H2+ pickup.

Jeff is still tweaking the voicing and there are a few things I need to go over with him concerning my opinion of it to this point, but I can tell you in person it is every bit as heavy as the EG5 and even a little tighter on the low end.

Interesting. Were you down-tuned at all in the clip? What was the recording routing? M4 out to Axe FX loop out to DAW?

Thanks!

Dave

I was in E Flat. That is my "normal" tuning. The M4 went into the Axe and then I took the XLR out of the Axe right into my Digi002. I think this recording is decent but trust me it still doesn't do this module justice. When I get my poweramp fixed I'll do some "proper" clips.

The alternate lyrics for Pull me Under are just flying through my brain...

Pull My Finger....Pull My Finger...Pull My Finger..Is it fart or spray!!

As I digress ;)

Or MARKed IV later ;) That's what it sounds like to me....especially w/ staley's "Pull my Finger" rendition!

I want to make a quick comment here . and not to offend
A lot of times I see the Egnater doesn't do the metal thing well comment on a lot of forums.
Bruce even makes refrence to that statement in some interviews ..so it is obviously an area that is kind of annoying to you..

Based on the SL2X and Now this new mod , I think you are proving Egnater can get those tones quite easily

again great job
