My two main guitars are my GMW Superstrat and my Gibson R7 LP. Im gona be selling my Dean ML to buy a good shred guitar. I have been looking at various guitars and the one that i liked the look and specs of the most so far was the ESP M-II.

The main things it needs to have:

1) Nice fast neck with easy upper fret access.
2) 22 or 24 frets, i can play both comfortably.
3) Original Floyd (Recessed)
4) Double cutaway superstrat type body shape.
5) I like both rosewood and maple boards on maple necks.
6) Jumbo fretwire
7) 2 Humbuckers or a Humbucker and a singlecoil.

If any of you coulds could help suggest any that meet these requirements it would be really cool.. Im just trying to decide on a really good, easy playing shred guitar that will sound great too!

I like that Ibanez Ralph posted too...

An M-II is awesome as I've said Dan. Ralph, did you like my M-II last weekend or not? I know Harry loved it.

Look for Carvin neck-thru guitars, like the DC-135 or DC-127.

Very fast, totally unhindered top fret access. Not sure about the trem, though.

There are 2 ESP M 2 deluxes on ebay, both going for about £4-500, i just bought that floyded vintage white strat on there, but otherwise they would be mine.

Thanks for the links Ralph! That Ibanez is really nice.. as is the Kramer. Only thing with the Kramer though is i would rather have a recessed floyd. I should edit my original post so others know that!

Don't forget about ash body Mirages either and I'm going to PM you on something else ;)

I must admit, the M-II looks absolutely awesome and i have heard some killer tones from them too..

How do the M-II Deluxes compare to the M-II standards? As good?

Made by esp in their heyday, they have original floyds, HUM slanted single config, and lovely necks which are similar to the KH2 neck imo

Very Cool! Never played a KH-2, wonder if the M-II deluxe and standard models have the same shape necks?

Either way.. i think the Standard OR Deluxe would both work for me!

ESP M-II is a shred machine. I want one w/ Maple neck!

I gotta admit.. the M-II Standard with dual humbuckers and the Maple neck looks so metal!! Im still leaning towards that guitar the most so far..

Used USA Hamers are the sickest deal around for that kind of stuff

except: hamer = schaller floyds instead of original floyd

I enjoy both.
