I mean, as I posted above, the US system works best when both sides are grounded and sane - and the Dems are obviously NOT in the realm of sanity right now. They let the extremists pull them so far left that they're trying to play defense in their own endzone.

Try to ignore the boomer retardation of Dans posts and try to decipher a coherent political ideology or vision out of it - you literally can't.

It's an incoherent mess because that side is an incoherent mess. Their only consistent position is "orange man bad."

You have to have SOME kind of coherent positioning and positive "this is what we believe" to function; it can't be "everyone else is a Nazi" because that's obviously demonstrably untrue.

Understandable

The TDS is always there - the strange or interesting part to me is how the pravda/propaganda by the intelligence agencies and msm has completely deluded people who are ostensibly "normal"

There's plenty of sane reasons to not like trump, but they literally never go into any substantive arguments. Like, EVER.

Which is how you know it's full blown TDS and not a legitimate belief that they arrived at from careful rationale - it's the end result of the media and intelligence apparatus pressing the "fear" button on the millions of "normies" with high acquiescense and conformity, who need to signal to their peers that they're loyal to the powers that be.

I have no issue with the farmers being bailed out. It’s not their fault that Trump’s tariffs were the reason that they required bailouts.

It's not so much that Trump is the best America has to offer, it's that he represents something that is different from the status quo. We're all sick and tired of the same old bullshit from politicians. The fact that the establishment opposes him so strongly shows he's onto something. Trump gives us hope for actual change and improvement and that resonates well with the average working class person.

Truthfully, it could have been anyone that that offered the same hope Trump has offered. It's that he was the first to stand up to the status quo AND had the resources to not get knocked down. The fact that he's a pretty charismatic individual doesn't hurt either.
