Have you ever played a Lawrence Petross Dutch?

Its a Timmy with a second footswitch for a higher gain "punch" section, which to my ear sounds like a klone without the clipping diodes, when the gain is lower

Don't get me wrong, I love the og Timmys, but the dutch seems to work very, VERY well in boost or gainy situations
I really need to try some of his pedals. Lawrence used to be my amp tech back in the day. Super cool guy, always loved going over to his house and chatting with him. He studied with Paul Gilbert at Musician's Institute - he is a monster player! He had been making amps under his own brand called Gearu, but it never took off, unfortunately. He let me borrow his "Eve" amp and it was one of the best hotrodded Marshall sounds I've ever heard.

Hes got some freaking fantastic pedal designs, that's for sure

Especially his MIAB drives are out of this world good

Thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely have to check them out. I'm not a huge pedal user so most of his effects don't appeal to me, but I'm always down for more drives

bump ....

OK Guys and Gals ~

Yesterday ended up being the last day of shipping the few Chirons that were left ...

There were a few hiccups here and there ...... but I think for the most part everyone is happy with the pedal .

I had a blast doing them ....and getting to know a few of you guys through the process has been fun .

So just wanted to say THANKS !!!

Wayne

I love my Chiron. I do see to be running my volume much much lower than everyone else around 9 oclock, but I am generally not using it as a boost either. I haven't checked, but my guess is that the gain level affects the unity volume level, so since I have my gain higher than most, that is why I am setting my volume control lower.

Yes thank you Wayne, haven't stopped using it since I got it. Looking forward to the Griff SD pedal.
that should be real soon .... parts come in on Wed ... finally . Place where I get enclosures is back ordered up to 2 weeks ...

Just caught your update about shipping all the Chirons. Impressive work! Handling shipments, especially in large quantities, can be a real challenge. It's commendable to see you've managed it with only a few minor issues.
