Thought it sounded very much like the old days! Had strong doubt's about Eddie's playing ability (after years of substance abuse), but not anymore! Great!

I'm hoping it's the shitty cameras but I didn't think those sounded good at all...especially Dave. He wasn't a good singer in his youth and now it's kinda laughable. Seems like Eddie is playing great though and Wolfie has kicked it up a few notches. Al is a powerhouse as always.

all i can say is so far 2012 is looking like it is going to be a great year !

Thanx for posting the videos, I'm so giddy right now! i can't wait till the CD drops . LONG LIVE VH!!

Wow new Van Halen where you can hear the bass guitar.

its hard to tell from the sound quality of the video, but Eddie's tone sounded more raw, less processed...which is VERY cool in my book!!!
I hate the tone Eddie is getting these days. Nasally, weird mid, wirey mess. I sure hope they get some better recorded sounds than what's coming out off that stage. Unfortunately, that is what I've heard from every live clip for the past two years, so I suspect that's his sound and it'll come through in a recording.

VERY nasal tone - agreed! I wonder sometimes if his ears have lost a lot of "midrange" so that's what happens when he eq's... ??
I dunno..........

Glad to see Ed looking clean, hope he can keep it up.

I am not earing what others are though, sorry.

Kinda sounds like my old club days bootlegs from the late 76-77. Ed's tone is alot rawer with less gain than he used on the 2007 tour when I seen them, it sounds very promising.

If the songs are old school and not some artsy musician trying to show they are growing. If it is just good honest hard rock I think it will sell great for them!

We'll see? Van Halen was a band that always seemed to be able to bring the party to the crowd and it seems they can still bring it!

Better angle: Everybody Wants Some, She's the Woman, Dance the Night Away:

I'm gonna give Dave the benefit of the doubt on this one.

With a stage that small and that loud, even IEM's can be a bitch to get what you need. Sounds like the same thing that happens when *any* singer has a hard time hearing themselves.

And besides, we *know* Dave needs help vocally. ;)

As to Ed: Welcome back. Please stay this time.

Eddie's probably SO LOUD that Dave has a hard time even hearing the IEM's too... EVH's stage volume is just plain stupid loud...

I enjoyed Wolfie's playing more than anything in these clips.

If the new album has the same vibe as She's The Woman it going to be awesome.
