Awesome stuff and wolfie can throw down; i'm in!! Only concern is that Ed still has that stiff arm/locked wrist thing going on his trem picking stuff :( I remember he had surgery on that hand a while back but it doesn't seem to have returned his range of motion...

Looks like they've re-done Bullethead as well - which is a killer tune - totally brilliant idea to mine the vaults for that great stuff eddie and dave wrote in the prime of their youth ...

According to MelodicRock.com, the track listing for VAN HALEN's much-anticipated new album, "A Different Kind Of Truth", is as follows:

Am I the only one who thinks all of these clips sound like shit? There is so much camera clipping going...

You are not alone. I can't hear shit. All I hear is Wolfie and the crowd with some EVH. From that some people here are somehow commenting on DLR  I mean, maybe if his mic was turned up or if it was even being captured in these clips, but we can't even tell what he sounds like. I am biased towards him as a fan, so I am definitely not in that DLR was never a good singer camp. He was a rock singer not an opera singer and was the best frontman EVER. As for Wolfie...I just don't care about him in Van Halen, except of course if you mean the family. He is playing just fine here, but when a good chunk of the song can be play with one hand, how hard is that? Bring back Mike

And not for nothing, but the clip of that single is not what I was expecting as their first new release after all these years. What do you guys think. Seems pretty good, but I was expecting something way more rocking.

I don't know, I mean, are we supposed to like this or something? The best part about this video is you can't hear Roth and the worst part about it is some guy mugging at the camera acting like Dance the Night Away means something to him.

For a guy who holds the pentacle of rock guitar tone... Eddie sure can't seem to find a decent tone these days. I know the 5153 sounds good, because I've heard other artists make great sounding records with it. To me Ed's tone is the definition that he gave for "cardboard." I really do hope the new album is good, but I'm not impressed with this clip.

yep looks like they went back to some archives and resurfaced them. Im hoping Big River or The trouble with Never is Big Trouble which was on the 77 demos and IMO was the best song. Then again they've always done this method in the past with Roth..House of Pain, Hang em High and In a Simple Rhyme were wriiten way before the official release. I personally didnt have a problem with Me Wise Magic or Cant get this Stuff no more..they're great tunes! either way im stoked that they're touring and have a release coming out. And as much as I love Michael Anthony, im really over all the negative comments about Wolfie..looks like they've molded him in quite well and he can dish out the goods. thanks for posting the vids!

Wow great vibe. Wolfie and Alex are smokin'. I agree that Eds' tone sucks on the 5153 but it's kinda cool to own your own music brand, so he's gotta set the example. I got a little exited to hear a new song 'till I read it was off an old demo. Come on guys, it's not that hard to write a new song!

I would have liked to have seen Big Trouble on the album. It was on their demo's and should have been on an album but never made it.

For those who think the sound was bad, yes, recordings via mobile phone tends to do that. But feel the fire and groove they had in that venue. Eddie is sharp now, playing the songs just right. Wolfgang was amazing!

On another note; Just read Sammy Hagars book, and it was sad to hear about how the drink and drugs run the band into the ground. Eddie an Al were both acting like assholes, but that is what years of substance abuse does to people. Ed lost a lot of things too, and I'm sure he has a lot of regrets. Never thought I'd say it, but I think they got something going now. If Ed can keep off the bottle that is. Cautiously optimistic!

It's going to be tough for Ed to lay off the sauce when DLR is constantly begging for shots on stage
Also, he could have laid off the drinking and driving promotion in the one video.
