Thanks to Ejecta / Todd letting me try out the amp before sending it off, I was able to do a few quick vids of the various amp channels. This dvd camcorder has a crappy mic, so I had to use the amp at a fairly low volume to avoid clipping. Since low volume use is something that is asked for quite often, you'll get to see kinda how it sounds.

As for the equipment and such, I used my Anderson Cobra w/H2+ bridge pickup and a new Marshall 1960B cab with the dreaded G12T75's. The clips are just a bunch noodling so don't expect much! All the tone controls were set @ noon along with the presence and depth. Both gains were set @2:00. Any changes you hear are only changing the toggle switches. On the 7 string clip I did up the Presence to 2:00, on the Clean clip I tried some different pickup combinations. The amp was set on the 100 watt setting too. I only had the amp for a few hours, so there are lots of different tones in all the channels, these are only a few.....

A million thanks to Ratter for helping me figure out how to do the video editing on this Macbook!!

Sorry for all the nonsense playing, but I can never seem to think of anything cool to play and it was first thing in the morning. :)

Here they are:
Rhythm Channel

More Rhythm Channel

Loomis 7 string /EMG clip

Rhythm and Lead soloing

Rhythm and lead Channel switching

Low volume sustain

Clean Channel

Lead Channel

So there you go....let the flames commence!!!! :D

EDIT: Here is some audio that was recorded at the same time as the video with my Zoom H4 recorder. I guess alot of people didn't realize when I said "it was a crappy camcorder mic" that's what I meant

Here they are (in no particular order):

You should put something in the vid explaining that you could also sell the amps as you are an authorized dealer...cant hurt :)

Watching them now.

Don't care for the tones at all, but that comes as no surprise. Sounds dry and lifeless IMO.

*flamesuit on*

Great clips!!!! Sounds good to me! There is something I hear in all of the SigX clips so far that seems "different" for VHT. I've owned two different 50CLs, an Ultra-Lead, a D120, and now a D60 and this SigX has something different going on. I'd say maybe more compressed or saturated? Do you hear that too or am I crazy?

I hear it too, I've always liked VHT, but the dryness, always bugged me, that why I never really bothered with them, but I'll admit, I'm GASsin pretty hard for this one.

Yeah it is different, more thickness/saturation for sure. Its quite different than the UL. I wish i had more time with it.

It is different. I dont get the dryness comments, if you like reverb use a processor. :)

Great playing as always, George. I'm not a big fan of that tone but it wasn't bad. :)

No the "signature VHT sound" has this dryness to it, EXTREMELY tight, etc... I didnt mean that it a bad way, just not the "saturation" (I guess is the word...... I suck at describing these things.  ) that most other stuff has.....

FTR, I HATE Reverb. :D

I knew what you were getting at. I hate when people use the term DRY when it comes to tone. Dry to me means no fx..... :)

For more saturation, believe me there is plenty! When the 2nd gain is raised up more, its there. And this was really low volume like I posted....Start to open it up some and YAY!!

The amp sounds fantastic and the playing sounds fantastic.

Thanks for the GAS :gethim: :D

Getting ready to upload the audio from my zoom recorder..... :)

I'm gonna agree.... I've owned 2 VHTs, and they do nothing for me :(

Some of tonse in there I liked some were not quite there for me but I have no doubt I can make sound like I want because I can tell the core of what I look for is there.

That said...... just let me say OMG George you smoke man. Some great great playing in those clips. :rawk: The amp isnt going to know what to do once my shitty playing starts hitting it. :D

The riffing on the lead channel is great.
I can hear you hitting the strings acoustically so the volume must have been really low.

Sounds great, now the wait begins...

You're very welcome....hey cool, you did a shit ton of clips!

Yeah, Todd there is a ton of range to the eq, I just like to leave it in the middle to have a basic ballpark reference. With all those modes and boosts, there was enough to mess with in the short time I had with it. :) Thanks again for letting me check it out.

BTW: We ended up with about a foot of snow! How did you fair?
