Warren DeMartini back with Stephen Pearcy

That is awesome! Is that a red version of the Frenchie?

I saw Stephen Pearcy a few months ago and was a great show. I wish I would have been able to see Warren with him.

Looks like Carlos Cavazo with them . That's a great line up !! Sounds like their tuned down about 3 steps . LOL!!!
He's another guy who could never sing but is now doing the Don Dokken thing. I love Warren but tuned so low, all the energy gets sacked out of the music and his style. That was terrible and Warren looked lost in spots because of how shit it sounds tuned that low.

Ratt was great in the old days ,because most of were teenagers.. Didn't matter how good a singer Pearcy was. Didn't matter they couldn't produce live.

When I spun Lay It Down for the first time on my HiFi Stereo, the hairs on the back of my neck stood to attention.

Long live the 80's

Pearcy was never a great singer but like DLR it worked really well. Ratt will always be in my top 3 80s bands ever. The scene of WD crashing through the ceiling onto the dinner table is burned in my brain and will stay there forever. I want his tone
Can they not use the name Ratt?

they are only tuned down a half step. And the original recording as well, so this is actually the same key as the record.

thanks for posting

yeah they can't use the name 'Ratt'

Ratt is like VH. Great catchy tunes with an awesome guitarist - but the singer isn't very good, especially live. Warren is vastly under-rated IMO, this is a boon for Stephen at the end of his career. :dunno:

Tuned down a 1/2 step like the album early albums . Reach For The Sky and possibly Detonator they tuned standard

I’ll assume you’re referring to DLR era VH . I saw both bands a lot back in the 80s and vocal abilities aside Pearcy had his moments as a frontman , very few lol but he could never whip the crowd into a frenzy like DLR , not even close

For sure. I was just saying he's not the best singer - like DLR, and being live didn't help. No one can really touch early DLR in the frontman category.

I could have sworn Detonator was tuned down too but never tried/looked. Great album tho.

Just matched up one of my guitars to a few tunes on detonator and they’re tuned standard on that one also
