Warren DeMartini back with Stephen Pearcy

Great tune off a killer album ( I love Detonator) but man Pearcy lol... spoken poetry or something? How is he not embarassed? Nice to hear real backing vocals that are good vs choruses in the can alla Motley and Def Lep though. Warren hit the lead here as well. Who am I kidding, I'd probably go see Pearcy's trainwreck just to see Warren.

when your in a venue with your ears bleeding how "in tune" the singer is really isn't a thing .. and Stephen sounds a million times better here than Don or Vince have in decades

I'd say he's on par with Vince, better than Don. fun fact, Vince is actually playing the only Canadian show Pearcy has listed..that should be an entertaining night. " Girls Girls Girls.. the Da-how... forladle dale' ... he's still got that squeaky Vince tone though. See if I can drag my wife to that.

Geuss who saw Ratt in 1985 with wait for it,....Bon Jovi opening. Funny because BJ had not broke yet and became way bigger $ wise.
Show was killer and was at Irvine Meadows Ca did I mention 1985?? Ha! Power went out during the show -no cell phones or way to give us updates we sat and waited. Finally came back on and they rocked!!!

I had just graduated HS and had a license plate holder that said 'Ratt n roll'!!! Tons of babes there in 80's mini skirts and lotsa aquanet! \:D/ VH had broken up and Lay it down was on the radio every hour. Ratt was on top of the world and never got back to that level of success after that.

Side note we drove down there for the show from Fresno and the 'Night stalker' serial killer was at large that entire summer in LA. Crazy looking back on it as we stayed at my buddies sister and brother's places in different parts of So Cal. 40 years later I'm watching the Neflix docu on Richard Ramerez -night stalker freak thinking man he could have broke into one of those places we stayed at on the road trip. o_O

Saw that same show in Dallas. Saw them a year later at same venue with Poison opening.

I could be wrong but something is sus with demartinis guitar tone.. I notice an artificial character to the high end and rumor is he's using a quad cortex thingy... say it isn't so

I saw a pic of a stage shot from behind him and Pearcy and you can clearly see a Quad Cortex on the floor. I think he is using that (unless someone else is). I would imagine it is a much lighter lift for these guys to use devices like that nowadays. They probably do not care anymore live about bringing 4x12s and heads etc. They are there to make money on a gig - the regular crowd doesn;t notice or care. I am a nobody but even in my little cover band, there are times when I will decide to break out the Flyrig vs a real amp (especially if it may rain).

But yes, as guitar fans we want the guys to use all the cool old gear. I think he is still playing great and tasteful as ever. Always been one of my favs who I could never cop or play like. He had his own style ad I loved that about guys back then.

That place they show in the "Girls, Girls, Girls" video was a few blocks from my house in S. Florida when I was a kid (late 70's - early 80's). Says Ft. Lauderdale, but it was actually Pompano Beach, but it wasn't the Doll House in those days. I was some kind of sports bar or something, I was early teens at the time never went in there. Cool building, looked like a flying saucer. LOL

Saw that double bill here at the Cow Palace. Ratt was always hit and miss all the times I’ve seen them but they were really good at this one

I saw that tour, and in New Haven, Bon Jovi actually surprisingly blew them off the stage performance wise. Warren & Robbin were on fire though.

Considering that they probably aren't pulling in the money that they used to, the QC is much cheaper to transport that a stack and refrigerator of Soldanos. If the sound engineer is worth his paycheck, no one probably knows the difference in the crowd. Yes, we want to see the big tubes light up and fill the room with tone, but the reality is that touring in 2025 is expensive. And a Quad Cortex weighs a hell of a lot less that a SLO 100 head.
