What are your favorite neck pickups ... and why ?

My favorite neck humbucker is the stock 7k7 Pat No that’s in my ‘80 LPC. I’m about to put the 7k7 bridge pickup from that guitar in my ‘13 Std once I lengthen the lead.
So I just got finished installing that bridge 7k6 Pat No from my '80 LPC into the neck position of my '13 Std and it's amazing.

I had just recently tried a Lollar Imperial Low Wind and a Lollar Imperial regular wind and both were decent but neither can touch this pickup. It is hotter than the regular wind Imperial but also more clear. You can really hear the string even the wound strings but its not thin up top. The LPC the pickup came out of had stock 300k volumes and 100k tones and sounded like a turd...until I swapped out the pots.

New here. :)
I have a oripure p90 with alnico v poles.
They stopped making them though. Good clarity and chime on chords. It's in a warmoth telemaster build I did.

Single coil:

For a 'fat strat' tone with plenty of character and reaction/dynamics, check out the Planet Tone DG.

I was shocked at how great these pickups sound.

Another pickup that sounded great , was the non staggered 13.06k ohms Schaller S6 pickup.

I love the Manlius custom hot neck pickup. I can’t stand the quack sound most neck pickups have… the Manlius doesn’t have it. They are hot, but don’t have any mush. I just went on their website and the don’t have them listed.

A great budget pickup, used to be the Dragonfire Duo Rail ceramic pickup , sounds great , kind of like a cross between a Bill Lawrence L-250, Dimarzio Chopper and Dimarzio YJM.

They used to only cost $ 17.00 USD, now they are a little under $ 40.00 ....just like the Bad Monkey pedal syndrome

When I got the Manlius pickups several years ago they were something like $70-90. They are now up to the standard price of $120. Best part was the company was so small that I was able to get double cream humbuckers. Now it appears he wont make them. Damn DiMarzio copyrights.

1) Purple wire PAF/early patent no
2) Alan Dingwall humbuckers
3) Throbak

Love the vintage sweetness, chime - and if you're lucky - the vocal tones

Varies but at the moment really digging G+L MFD in my ASAT.

I like the Whole Lotta Humbucker neck. Sounds good no matter which guitar I put it in. Like a '59, but more clear.

Tonenerd wicked 8. I have that in my chubtone explorer and it smokes all of the neck pickups I've tried so far. Sings, well balanced and just sounds full

Yours was a one off. I want say around an 8.1k/A2 wound to be strong, but clear

The mahogany invisible neck pickup is my favorite. Dead silent. no magnets.
