Marty can play whatever he wants, it's just eventually that asinine pick grip is gonna give him arthritis lol

I'm pleasantly surprised. Whether he could make it happen all night or not is another story.
I haven't heard the jazz and fusion stuff. Him and Jason Becker were on another level from an early age.marty is so respected and admired for a reason - have you heard his jazz and fusion stuff?
The dude can literally play ANYTHING well

Antones? I think I saw both of those guys listed on their calendar.Just noticed yesterday that Marty is playing at what is basically a bar gig next month locally. I am going. Saw that while I was looking at Lynch tickets at the same venue that is coming up in 5 days. Will go to that one as well. Why the hell not?

Be a good husband.
I know others disagree, but I do not like a single original metallica song recorded since AJFA
They recorded some cool covers - especially the Diamond Head and Mercyful Fate ones
But their actual records and songs have been completely anodyne and missing a spark of something original or poignant
It's actually kind of weird because you would think they would LUCK into something cool
I actually think he's a great writer but Dave's heavy compositions are better than anything James can come up with in that Thrash/Speed vein. Hetfield is miles ahead of him in the vocal department. But Dave is also a better guitar player than the petite Mexican grandmother they've been using for decades now.
You can say this for most every band 5+ albums deep into their career.
Why is it the little fella on that episode of Seinfeld who acted with Kramer got accused of wearing "lifts" in his shoes and caught shit, but Marty Friedman wears platforms like KISS and nobody says anything?Marty is playing at Antone's next month. "Austin's home of the blues" my ass.
