What covers do you refuse to play?

Other than some of the ones mentioned already. i will add these to the list:

Play that funky music
Feelin Alright
Rock in the free world

We play all 3 unfortunately, so I guess I don't refuse to play them, but I don't enjoy it either...

But if you want to play the big clubs that pay the big money near me you HAVE to play what the young college crowd wants to hear, and people still haven't gotten sick of hearing songs like these for the million'th time.

I was just offered a spot in cover band, not sure if i want to do it again though.

I used to have a huge list of tunes that I would never cover until a band that I was in reworked Babe by Styx into a killer rock tune. Now I'm pretty open to anything as long as I don't have to play it note for note.

Born to be wild is the suck, but c'mon Wild Flower? Anything by The Cult is good stuff. Sure it's a simple tune, but not too many bands actually play it. I thought I was the only one heh.

when I used to play live I hated doing Mustang Sally. I would rather light my face on fire and put it out with a hammer than play that song again.

Sounds like you're from South Louisiana buddy. All the "swamp pop" bands down here, they'll kill a lot of good old songs like that for you.

well we're talking back in the early 90's when there were bands at least in my local scene playing that alot. I didn't mind some other Cult tunes, but that one just didnt do it for me...so fuckin stiff and non-musical to my ears i guess. I'll take Smoke on the Water anyday over it! ; )

Yeah that's when I was doing covers as well. Only one other band I know of did Wild Flower, or any cult at all for that matter.

Thanks man. I'm very lucky. Not only is she cute, but she's smart, fun, sweet and cool all at the same time. I hit the jackpot for sure. I feel like "the winner" when it comes to braggin rights hehe.

Yeah that's the sucky part isn't it? I think I've finally found "the one." Y'know what I mean? just 15 more days 'til we get married and grab a plane for Europe. I'm pretty excited.

Yeah but Im only 20. Ive already been married. And had a daughter. My daughter is an angel but I dont get to see her, Her mom though... Lying slut right there. Jesus Its bad. I left her a few times and beleived her to change when I took her back.... And girls before that... Had a couple good ones, One moved far away, And the other left because I wouldnt quit playing shows and practicing in the band. The rest arent worth mentioning.

And europe... Hell yes, I cannot WAIT to see that place... Always wanted to go there you guys are lucky.
I'll see it one way or the other. Probably on tour.

EDIT: Yes im in the process of losing custody and getting a divorce all at the same time.
