What covers do you refuse to play?

I've done 8675309 a fair amount live. It's actually kinda fun...

My singer has been trying to convince me to do Korn. Umm, that's a tough pill to swallow. Why don't you ask me to play Smells Like Teen Spirit while yer at it, eh? How about a little Sympathy for the Devil? Can I really play 286 consecutive G-chords with a C thrown in every once in a while "just to spice it up"????

Yeah kids make it more complicated. I am divorced and have 2 kids from the whole thing, but I get to see them a lot. I have them every weekend and sometimes a night here and there during the week as well. I insisted on joint custody. I hope everything turns out well for you man.

She wants to hit me as hard as she can because she knows fathers usually lose no matter what. I was the one gettin up every 2 hours taking care of her.. But my ex's family has never liked me, and playing guitar isnt a real job and im a loser pretty much in their eyes. Not to mention her and her mom and her grandma have ALL been to the same mental hospital in VA. its crazy. Theyre just so fucked up, She would go off the deep end for no reason and want to leave and then shed come back. Like 2 different people lived inside of her man. One night I just had enough I guess. Cops forced me to let the baby go with her. And her grandma, Lives with her Boyfriend, and her husband. Her grandma has both. Is that fucking twisted or what. And of course its in a single wide trailor park with drugs etc, where my daughter is in VA. Man its so fucked up.

Just remember you have rights. Don't give them up and if/when you go to court, don't act like an ass. Be polite, respectful, and don't engage in an argument with the ex. Stay calm no matter what. The judge can/will see through her crap if she's be a jerk in court and you're being calm. Good luck bro. If you can get a copy of any of the police reports or some paperwork that shows any of them have been in a mental hospital it may be good for you. Talk to a lawyer even just one time before you sign anything or go to court if you can swing it.

Yeah I have rights, But the thing is. I live in NC. She left before she had the baby because her grandma promised her this nice single wide blah blah and no bills blah blah. So I knew it was coming, She had the baby in VA. I cannot go across state line and take the baby to be with me or anything. And I cant go around the trailors. SO basically She had the whole thing planned come to find out. And IN court I will lose no matter how much ass I kiss. My record will play a role in it, even though its the past. Plus 80% of mothers win by default anyway, EVEN if the father has a clean record and lawyer like appearance. Its just how people see things. Honestly I talked to a couple lawyers. I dont stand a chance in hell... She got me good. Im in a spot where I cant do a damn thing.

I used to think that I wouldn't play this song or that. Now I am at the point that I am getting paid to have people come see us and drink all night. I want to play whatever songs it takes to make that happen. We have managed to not have to play Gimme 3 Steps, Brown Eyed Girl or Mustang Sally, but almost all other songs on this thread we play and love to do it.

I want people to leave our show sore from dancing too much and hung over for days. They remember that and come back next time with more people.

No cover band should play Stairway to Heaven or Freebird EVER!
