YUP........................I would only add the JMP models in between the Plexi/Superlead and the JCM800's.When I think Marshall, two amps come to mind. Plexi and JCM800.

Jubes are great amps on their own, but when I played mine back to back with my JMP 2203 it just sounded too dark, compressed and scooped. Still a great amp, but maybe 70% Marshall and 30% something else.I am so unqualified to answer this question. But the best marshall i have heard is a silver jubilee

Yep.I’m sure this means something different to everyone. When I think “Marshall” tone, my mind immediately goes to old Super Leads and 2203/2204s.
Now I want to try one using an ES. You've got to stop doing this to me.To be honest, there's no Marshall with a similar sound to a JTM though which means it's nothing like the other Marshalls - even moreso when it starts to break up and overdrives, it's not like a Fender, it's not like a Vox. It's a Marshall set apart from other Marshall.
Even moreso for the "feeling" of a JTM series.
