I have no desire to defend Diezel, but as a casual observer of the PR shitstorm over the last year, it was clear that something had to give. If the issues of U.S. pricing, warranties, Dealer stock requirements, etc. were set by Diezel and DiezelUSA was just following orders, then Hicks may have a legitimate gripe. But if Hicks set these U.S. policies then he has no grounds for complaint whatsoever. Regardless of "fault", if any, the chemistry just wasn't working. And Diezel has been around for quite some time. What has it been, 15-18 years or so? That is a LOT of blood, sweat and tears, not to mention the finances and risks it takes to establish a Brand. Trust me...I know. While we as a Company, may "butt heads" with Diezel from time to time on "who's better", we admire their dedication to a quality product and obvious desire to provide solid service. Even with all of the negativity that has been going on with Diezel USA, Peter D. has been supportive and not bashed Hicks in any way publicly, at least not that I have seen. They have a tremendous investment in their Company I'm sure, and to do anything other than protect it at all costs, or make corrections as required, would be foolish, indeed. ....just my 2cents worth.silversurfer879":2prtcih2 said:But yes I do have a bone to pick with diezel. After not being too terribly impressed with the sound, I was won over by Terry. Furthermore the whole diezel story was intriguing and I fell in love with this idea of an honest warm hearted company that just believed in tone and giving people what they always wanted. Even though the tone wasn't as great as $5000 would have you believe, it was pretty damn good. I had every intention preaching the gospel of diezel myself.
Well after what they did to Terry, I will have no part. They're just another corporation. I'm sure this will be removed. Anything that's said against big brother will be removed to keep the propaganda pure. Almost reminds of a different germany about 65 years ago.
Given that, there's not much point in posting here anyway. I guess the battles over. No one cares, accept me.

I liked the Herbert ALoT when I tried it out for as long as I liked at wild west guitars in riverside, where they have a great selection btw and don't mind you playing for awhile. I personally don't need along time with an amp to know if it's right, actually I get annoyed at people on music stores that just go in there and play for 45 minutes. It's not that hard to figure out if an amp is going to kick your ass or not, unless you are comparison shopping...the guys at wild west guitars let me plug into anything and compare cabs , heads whatever...super cool place. Anyway I tried the herbert and I knew diezel makes the best amps for metal that I have ever heard. I tried the vh4 but wasn't feeling it as much. Fast forward to last week, and I was offered a vh4 for an incredible price and I just took the plunge. I am VERY happy , gleeful guitar bliss , I can't wait till tommorow so I can play it again and pretty much every couple hours until my fingertips hurt too much to play. What's sad is I have a Mesa boogie mark v that I bought 5 months ago, that I don't even care about, I already put a couple ads up on the net to sell it for $1800, it's a great amp, but the diezel has the sound of my dreams. I would say to head out to wild west , ask for Eric , try out the diezel and see if it's your thing...

The guy had a VH4 for $1000, and a Diezel Cab for $500 (last i heard, he still had the cab). That posted was posted at 2pm, and when i saw it and called at 4, he said he had just sold it!!

I wonder if you picked it up, since you just got it, and now have it for sale.
