It does not effect your timing, that's a whole other issue.

Thanks, having never used them I didn't know what to think in this case.

  dude, thats not a house, its a barn....

Not always, I've heard it was quite frequently used in the pre WW2 era housing, at least in my area ;)

Mind you, I have so many animals now that it may just be

The nice thing to remember is because of proximity, we'll all be deaf one day soon... WHAT??!??
Proximity? Not sure what you mean?!? :aww:

"The proximity effect in audio refers to a change in the frequency response of a directional microphone as the sound source is brought in close proximity to the microphone. The result of the change is a disproportionate increase in the bass response of the microphone. The effect is found in directional microphones due to the particulars of its construction... and, consequently, is not exhibited in omni-directional microphones."

Are you saying we should stay away from loud music? And firearms?

No way, I'd rather be dead ;)

So, pass the earplugs and rock on.

when you wear earplugs, then you can also hear all the mistakes?

it depends on my proximity to the drummers cymbals. When I do wear ear plug"s" I only wear one in the ear closest to the drummer. Cymbal highs give me a killer headache.
