My custom modern covers a lot of bases & I can't really justify owning two or three electric guitars of that quality at the moment. It doesn't play & sound like a LP really, but it's got more mojo than most 24 fret guitars i've played. For build quality, you'd do well to find many better USA guitar builders I think. They've got a lot of character.
The cutaway is really the only gripe I personally have with the design. Everything else is flawless. It's what makes the Vigier Excalibur, EBMM JP guitars so playable. They're just not as pretty. I would urge everyone to really focus on demoing the higher register of the moderns to see whether the horn hinders their left hand in any way. It can get on my tits sometimes, parried only by its superiority in every other facet of its design.
Knowing what I now know, I might've considered a different guitar entirely. At the least, I think I could have compromised on the custom options, saved a few notes & maybe bought a pro series (which are as good) or even a couple of second hand, less versatile axes.
I'm being cynical of course. It's an amazing guitar. Unless I could sell it for the right price or trade, I'm probably not going to be switching her out any time soon.
