Will the Nova System work with Mod 50?

If the NOVA System could also change the channels on the MOD 50, I would seriously give it a test with my amp. Although I dread the thought of digital chorus and other modulation effects.

Whats wrong with digital chorus? Honestly a lot of this just sounds like silly gear snob talk to me. I use a digital multi effect (Eventide Eclipse) and not only do I prefer it to most analog stuff i've used before, but it is completely transparent and does not mess up your tone. Prejudice against digital music equipment is becoming seriously outdated, especially when a lot of it these days outperforms analog stuff.

I assume with the G-system you can choose where in the chain an effect goes? Like whammy before pre amp and delay after?

Nope.

The G-System lays out all of it's effects in a fixed order. The only choice you have is that the delay and reverb can be serial (one after the other) or parallel (so both get the signal in parallel, and the reverb doesn't get the delay in its signal).

I believe the G-Force is the only TC Product that offers a truly flexible effects chain.

I don't need flexible effects routing because all of the effects I would use would be in the loop of the mod 50. Sometimes I prefer chorus first.....but I'll get a chance to compare soon.

As far as digital? Eventide is pretty high end gear but I don't want a rack unit, but I would love to see an Eventide floor unit.

It is personal preference, not snob talk. Don't confuse the two. I think digital delay is great and have friends who prefer all digital effects, neither is better. I have to admit there is something I really like about analog delay though. Something deeper and warmer about it that I never hear or feel in digital delay....but I do own a digital delay.

Same for analog chorus, to me there is nothing like it. Some people claim with digital gear such as the TC stuff, you lose punch and dynamics due to the converters, not that I hear that!

Finally, I have used digital gear and amps for years so I am not opposed, I just prefer tube amps and analog gear...they go hand in hand.

I owned a Line 6 Vetta for years.

This is true but you can can the 4 cables and get the filters and such before the pre and get delays after.

I totally agree with you here on this one :). I've used a Lexicon MPXG2 for years, and it sounds amazing compared to having a ton of pedals, but that's you and I :). If I didn't know the Lexicon like the back of my hand, I'd get the new 1u Eventide unit as it rocks!

Eric

I don't want a pedalboard and rack for jamming with people so if Eventide made a floor unit...I'd do it.

Anyway, I am trying to go just tuner, wah and noise suppressor these days. Dry baby!

If I knew it could midi control the MOD 50...I might really consider it.

Biggest downfall is the thin chorus on the Nova. The Glass Nexus looks decent though.
