Will we see another Boogie module?

I'd like a modern Mesa Mark mod as well. I don't see an issue with folks asking for one. I also think the Egnater description for the COD should be changed to stop confusing guys. It says: "This module is perfect for both Robben Fordabees and Dream Theaterrites."
It's not at all a DT module. Neither is the E-rect.

But I don't hold my breath since, what is a Mark mod without graphic EQ? I don't ever see that happening.

As a fan of Mesa type tones, I'd like to see a mod that gets there. I think there are enough versions of a hot-rodded Marshall. That said, I also understand it's much easier said than done. For now, I can get by with the MHG and EG5. I think when you crank the gain on these mods, you get a bit more compression and start taking steps in that direction.

The Mark cleans are pretty great too so a clean Mesa module would be great and probably more feasible than a lead mod. Just an assumption on my part.

A mesa MKII/MKIV module would be HUGE, and is really the only thing lacking in the module line-up.

Honestly, I'm really digging what I hear out of Pete's module there. That's a just a YouTube clip, but you can hear that it's got the same kind of tonal base.

Yeah man here is a better quality clip in a mix.

Sounds awesome to me! I'm sending my Plexi his way to get it up to spec.

No Eric, I agree with you...the COC absolutely sounds like a Boogie. I just said it is essentially not a true Boogie in that it is a mix of a few amps to arrive at its tone. Sorry, I should have been more clear. So, while the COC does sound Boogie, I was looking for something more in the IV range but I know it is beating a dead horse at this point. To be honest, I can get the Erect sounding pretty close to a Mark series at time so maybe we don't need another Boogie. Haha

I recently had a Randall Recto that was very similar to my Erect, but maybe a touch more treble, hence more aggressive. I modded it but still I prefer the overall tone of the Egnater Erect. It is becoming one of my favorites.

Dude...all Boogie tones aren't Petrucci tones. I disagree 100% with you here. The COD has more of a Mark I flavor...which is more Santanaish tone...not Petrucci tone. So...it's more vintage Boogie tones...not modern boogie tones.

Actually, then you do agree with me. Hehe

How is a Boogie Mark I not a Boogie tone? The COD sounds similar to a Mark I and a Dumble to me. Santana uses a Mark I....I don't see the connection how we agree. Petrucci's tones are more Mark IV and Rectifier tones. Yeah..that's not the only good Boogie tone out there. You referenced that the COD doesn't sound like Petrucci...which I agree with...but you say the COD doesn't sound Boogie...which I think it does. So we do disagree.

I can get pretty good Mark IV tones with the Erect. Played around with it last night.

I think i am going to try to get away from Randall modules. The single channel thing is a pain. Having the two channels on an Egnater module is a HUGE plus when you need to kick in some gain and volume for leads.

I wonder if Pete can mod Egnater modules. I wish channel two of the Plexi had a bit more gain......but the BB helps!

Well I disagree there. I may get flamed all to hell and gone but the one minor issue I have about the dualies is the shared EQ. VX is the one that gave me the most trouble. That being said I have a setting that works for several applications and am quite satisfied with it. I understand that it is a matter of space and I agree with you that it is awesome to have 4 two channel amps in one rig. In fact I have been subbing the Randall's in as I'm finding I can get what I need out of nearly any one of the Egnater modules alone.

I think a modded Randall, if you know what you want out of it, can sound comparable.

No flames here. I agree with you. Whether a mod is 2 identical sounds on both A and B or 2 different ones, I wish I could EQ them separately.

Honestly doesn't bother me anymore - assuming I am using one for leads. For example, I'll EQ for a nice balance of rhythm and lead, use channel B for rhtyhm, then just set channel A up with more gain and volume for leads. I can't do that with my Randall modules unless I use my rack for compression, EQ, etc. I am trying to go more natural and organic these days....just the Mod 50 and a few pedals. I am using the rack less and less!

I think a 2c+ module with a rhythm and lead channel would sell like crazy if its possible to make. That module would kill.

Yeah I was referring to the specific fish in the case the COD!  That Fish module looks pretty nice though. I have a Plexi I want to ship off and it looks like it may be heading out to Czech Republic. Maybe something Orange. Hmmm....
