VH4:
- external biasing, like einstein/herbert, for hassle free tube changes.
- 2nd Master would be cool (although I'm using send 2 for this)
- Dust cover :)

Even cooler if after I could send my VH4 to Peter for him to add these 2 features :D
But anyway, I think the VH4 is basically perfect, soundwise and featurewise, that's why I bought it.

Einstein: Same as duesentrieb. Einstein would be a killer amp with those features.

Can't say anything about the rest, since I've never tried them.

VH4:
- Master A/B Volumes
- External Bias Points/Bias Pot
- Ability to mix pairs of tubes, I.E. Herbert
- LED's
- Lower the gain voicing by a tad on Channel 4, anything past noon
is unuseable and just creates excess noise on the 4th channel from
amount of gain on tap in the pre-amp.

Herbert:
- +/- Feature Made MIDI switchable
- Voice more High Mids into the amp (it seems to get lost in band mixes
because of a lack of these frequencies, even with the mid-cut
NOT engaged.

Einstein I have no comments about.

I think it would be cool to have a new High Gain, monster amp which could be a more simplified, combination VH4/Herbert type amp, only featuring the 3rd channel from the VH4 and the 2nd and 3rd channels from the Herbert, with the mid-cut feature and -/+ features all midi controlled, with a Master A/B volume set-up. No clean channels. It would run on 100 watts, and have the ability to combine different tube types like the Herbert.

I know I'd pay good money for that amp, it would be the metal guitar's DREAM amp.

Wouldn't performing such a mod render the warrenty useless?

Those first to pictures are the same by the way.

I wish I understood/was clever enough to mod my own amp :(

Not anymore.

Warranty? Depends who did the modification me thinks.

My suggestions for the Einstein:
  • High gain/low gain switch for the 2nd channel. It just has too much gain, I keep the gain on about 8-10 o'clock depending on the guitar and it's still a high gain lead tone.
  • Better control label positions. They should be above and to the right of the controls, not below and to the right like they are now. A bit difficult to read from any position.

VH4: a switch on channel 3 to simply downsize the compression.

I love my compressed channel 3, but..... i read a lot of stories of guitarplayers who didn't buy the VH4 just because of the amount of compression on ch.3.

From selling point of view might be something to consider.

The compression of Chn. 3&4 on the VH4 can be reduced signifigantly by turning the gain down. Active pickups add to that compression as well.

I love my VH-4 as it is ...

I would love to see Lucy in full action!!!! And please, make it as a head and a 19" rack-version ... That would be perfect for my rack ;-) ... I've got 3 HE to spend for it :D

And of course 4x10 Bassspeaker !!!

more merchandise ...

I really think that -/+. on Herbert, should be midi switchable. Thats a major flaw.

Flaw sounds a bit harsh consindering what a great amp it is but that and a deep for each channel would be awesome.

VH4 : don't know if it would be a good idea, but channel loops should be used for any channel, as the general parallel loop. So you could mix your pedals the way you want, and not have to dedicate one effect to only one channel. You'd get a real mixer with your amp.

Definitely deep controls on every channel would be nice. I love deep for heavy riffing but I need the mid without deep for leads to cut through. Also on Einstein the mode mod for footswitch is cool but useless for me as I use way different gain settings for each mode. An extra gain switch...or I will just have to buy another Einstein. :D

Well, Although Ithink Diezel is the cream of the cream... the very best, and wouldnt as more than it has... I would only say one tiny thing...

HERBERT: -/+ mode midi switchable... it would be really amazing to be able to make it fully funtional with the columbus... (like the midcut), no need to be another different channel... let it as it is, with the same eq and volumes than the channel 2, BUT just having that -/+ option switchable.. that would give us an even BIGGER field to play and enjoy the herbert :P...

simply that :P

I LOVE THE HERBERT !!!

+1000000000 This is number 1 on my Wish list..
I've even considered Modding the amp to have an 1/4 jack in the back to footswitch this option. That way I could hook it up to a audio looper like a GCX and control that function through MIDI.
This is IMO a huge oversight on the Herbert

yeah, flaw is not the right word. But it woul be cool.

Am I the only one who wants a DI?
why? Well, maybe it's the fault of the studio we went to, but, I play (also) deathmetal, and the VH4 is one piece of power, if you place a mic(sm 57?) at this piece of violence.. well, it's hard to have a great result because of the power.

When we played in smaller places the Diezel was WOW! powerfull heavy tight sound!

When I played it over an marshall cab the cab started to virbrate in a not healty way :)

For the VH4 I would make the Series FX loop Switchable too so you could add a Preamp to be paired with the VH4's Power Section and Switch it out Through MIDI.
I guess a 2nd Master would be Cool too.

Single channel, 100 watt high gain monster with deep/presence, serial and parallel loop and tube swapping capability

That would be a ridiculous amp

Nothing really.....

I doubt I will be buying another diezel anytime soon.
i will just have to suffer and make do with my current herbie
and cab.oh boo hoo  :moon:
Unless of course i hit the lotto.
