Are the heaters DC? I noticed they are untwisted.
I don't know. I really didn't try to follow any of the circuit. I think you may remember me staring at the chassis of the avenger. With the pcb, it was one of the simplest circuits possibe for a high gain amp. But this one is so different in layout. the pcb traces kind of gave me a pathway. I was so overwhelmed when i looked at this. I would have to compare it to a jcm or jmp maybe.

How many watts should one get for 5K? I think i could play a 200 watt amp maybe. I don't think I would want any more than that. Even that, I would have to take it outside. My bedroom is only big enough for 150

Shouldn't matter. AC heaters don't necessarily need to be twisted pairs to be noise free. But no, looking at the photos it appears to be regular old AC heaters. The bus bars terminate at a terminal strip which goes straight to the PT primary side for 6.3v AC.

Interesting location. Not sure I've seen one that far from the tubes/close to the PS caps.

Seems like a reasonable location to me *shrug*. Located near the other PS, rectifier, and bias components.

Built like a brick shit house...just icing on the cake.

What jumps out at you as being exceptional?
