I think both of you probably would have the smirk wiped off by the sound of it. But either way. I don't know how much one costs new. But i think it is much lower than 5k. So I don't know where this number comes from. But thanks for stopping by.
Christ, you are a juvenile jackass. Why do you think I stated the price. There’s this crazy tech called the internet, you’re shooting your load all over it right now. Strangely Wizard had a website and it’s content was in *gasp*, English. You react to simple questions and statements with this pathetic persecution complex. Enjoy your JCM800. It’s folks like you that cause regular visits to this site to become the exception and not the norm.

This internet you speak of has a w800 listed on it? link me the site where it shows the price, bud. I know it is hard to believe, but there are companies that make amps that have different MODELS. Such as peavey has a 6505, but also has a vypyr. They are not the same amp, though they are the same brand. They even cost different prices. Really boggels the mind, doesn't it?

Wizard sound is basically from high plate voltage.
Yeah, and an over the top filtering scheme.
Someone mentioned the Orange drop caps.
I certainly wouldn't call them cheap, as they are a quality brand of caps, but they do have a sound to them.
Like every other amp, its the sum of the parts.
There is really no mystery to how Rick gets the "Wizard" sound. The money is in the build quality, and how much time it takes for 1 guy to build the amps from the ground up, one at a time, with the attention to detail displayed in the pics.

You make your infrequent visits to rig-talk to troll someone else's post, and then wonder why you don't get a warm reception. Does it make you wonder that you didn't go to a post that had something you liked, and you came here instead to be negative? What does that say about you? And you call me juvenile? I don't speak for everyone, but it doesn't sadden me that your visits are limited.

I know you are doing a lot of modding and messing with circuits. Have you done a ground up build yet?

So any comment not blowing roses up your asshole is trolling? Yup, juvenile jackass.

So much negativity.
As R.K. once said, can't we all just get along? 😁

I payed $4k for a ‘19 KT150 MCII. A new BE100 Deluxe is $3899. Friedman’s are built in a factory, Wizard is built by the man himself. I’ll take the Wizard. Even at new prices. Respect where respect is due. A doubt anyone here has the credentials and clientele of Rick.

The phenomenon of the amateur almost proudly sneering in the face of true expertise is mind boggling.

Doctors, scientists, building inspectors, premium amp builders...... doesn't matter.
It's another plague we're living through these days.

This is one of the amps I've never heard in person only online and I've loved all the clips!

I’d say he’s no nonsense. Just like his amps. And he delivers. Just like his amps.
He was nice enough to me in an email conversation.
Wizards are expensive, and are also fantastic amps. In my top 5 for sure. I'll have another some day.
Orange drop caps are in many highly regarded amps and guitars.
