IDK about better; I went from classic rock, punk / new wave in the late '70s, to metal (Sabbath, Whitesnake, Crue, Priest, Maiden), to hair/thrash in the '80s...by the time the '90s I was ending my thrash and into death/black metal. never missed, nor was I part of the grunge scene

I said following decades not prior

as in 2000 - 2025 :dunno:

I was never really into punk for whatever reason, but I grew up in a home centered around 50's rockabilly, Elvis, Kingston Trio, Bob Dylan, John Denver, The Beattles, The Rolling Stones, Simon & Garfunkel, James Taylor, etc.

I then took over with KISS, Sabbath, Jimi, Van Halen, Cream,

REM, Bon Jovi, ICP, Oasis, Kiss, Motley Crue, Aerosmith, Dave Matthews Band, Green Day, Extreme, Cherone-Era VH, REM.

I've mellowed a bit with age and don't hate many of the bands I used to. However, Creed and Nickelback make me want to gouge my eyes out with a dull rusty spoon.

if i catch myself bopping my head to either of those, I have to take a cold shower.

this talk of green day, who made my list, got me wondering who else is unlistenable for you?? these are mine in no particular order

Green Day
Adele
Eminem
Yingwee
Queens of the Stone Age
Fall Out Boy
Pretty solid list.

Yep, I agree with all except for Yngwie

QOTSA especially is obnoxious and overrated by smelly slicked back hair musicians all across america
In reality QOTSA had one good song, Yngwie had a couple ( Ships are burned, Queen is in love etc) and Eminem’s first album and especially My Name Is are ok. On the whole though I agree.

Especially Green Day. The fact that Billie Joe has a signature guitar makes about as much sense as Roger Waters having a signature bass. Might as well have a Madonna signature guitar.

 Sig worthy!

It's just one of those things.

You know EXACTLY the fuckers i'm talking about.

"Can I bum a cig, man?" "Can I use your cab?" "Got an extra speaker cable?" "QOTSA IS AMAZING BRO BEST SONGWRITER OF A GENERATION, THE DRUNKEN WALTZ IS IMPOSSIBLE TO WRITE AS A MERE MORTAL *glunk glunk*"

I am a junior guy, so it drives me nuts that one of the only cool signature juniors on earth is a BJA. Billie Joe can barely play guitar, and can't write songs about anything besides his retarded politics

edit: I would add "liar", "black star", "no mercy" and "c'es la vie" to the yngwie list. He's honestly underrated IMO

Well, if Sonic the Hedgehog gets one... :ROFLMAO:

There’s definitely a few on those early albums.
