Joe, you are welcome to swing by my place as well if you'd like to check out a Cameron. I loved my Mako, but the Camerons spoil me with extra features that actually work and sound good.

Haha, what specifically do you mean by the features? I would like to check em out actually. Does yours have the Jose channel or whatever they are called?? I just want to make an educated buy if I'm going for his new head. I'm really not hip on all the circuits he offers!

Cool, it looks real good. How are the cleans on it?? Mild OD sounds?? I'm definitely interested.

Check out the clips in my sig...While they (the clips) aren`t great, they get the general point across. It does clean up very well w/ volume...
Here is my review of it:

The 101b is instant facelift tone on the red channel. It also does great breakup tones and the blue channel is awesome for inbetween tones and gets very gainy with the boost. My only gripe is the clean channel. It isn't bad by any means but I could never get it to sound how I wanted.

I haven't played Mark's new amps but my old high gain jose sounded good for AIC stuff. It didn't have quite the same sound but still sounded good, nevertheless. Of course, mine was a one channel head so the clean sound wasn't good unless you re-tweaked it but I've heard positive things about the clean on his new amps.

The CAE wasn't my thing personally but you may dig it.

As far as the Mako, I've never played one but I bet you wouldn't have a problem copping the tones you need.

Obviously I'm going to reccomend either the 101b or the Cameron though because I've owned (and loved) both and my 101b is up for sale  .

Well my 800 is a 2 channel mod. The lead channel has a 3 way bright switch, a push pull on the master for more gain, and a 3 way switch on the back thats labeled 60/70/80's. It can go from Plexi like tones to stupid amounts of gain. You know the type that would have Kage and Ralph grinning from ear to ear even before sticking a boost out front. Its not a Jose per se, but Mark said it was quite similar.

I also have Davers old Sovtek with a variation of the Ocean Mod, and Mark modded my Uberschall. The Sovtek has a 6 postion gain switch, push pull gain boost, and another 5 way switch that changes the voicing.

Sorry for the Hijack, How is the Cameron Uber? I have a two channel HG Jose based off of a JMP w/ 6550s which is awesome (bunch of switches/options as well) but I still kick myself in the ass for passing on a Cameron Uber on Ebay (had the Shiva clean ch. and a bit of work to the od)

SHit, $1400 for that Mako sounds like a good deal. Joe, you should grab that Mako, AND, with the extra money get a Boogie MarkIV.

mine is the same, but with an added switch on the back for the high gain that can take me back to a similar to stock sound. The presence control isnt really affective until around 1 oclock and after, but the feel is way better. I hear similarities in Marks amps, and this one is no excetion, but the bottom is still bigger. Out of the 3, I still prefer the other 2 on the gain channel for most things, but I love the clean. People that like the Uber but hate the feel would love this amp IMHO. Of couse with a flick of the switch it can do muych more:)

Cool clips! Where do get those drum backing tracks that you used in DKFHS?

Thanks! I transcribed and programmed all the drums myself:thumbsup:

WOW! Nice job!

I sooo should have pulled the trigger on the ebay one. The Uber is one of those amps that I think will find a permanent place in my rig (once I have the cash) and I am still pissed I passed up a Cameronized uber. Do you happen to have any clips of it by chance?

Thanks man! It will be a bit before I am back up and running again (finished moving to our new place yesterday) but if you ever want a particular drum track hit me up. If I have the time I enjoy doing them as I feel I get a bit better each time.

I'm definitely considering it man...As long as gybe! is up for it.

Dan, did you get rid of your 4x12 for a 2x12?? I'm thinking of a Mojo 4x12 with either Scumback H30's, or just some Hellatone 30s.

Oh, I am definately contemplating it. I just need to actually play everything back to back (haven`t got to plug in in two weeks with this move from hell!) before I can finalize what I am going to do. I should have a definitive answer by Sunday or Monday (should be putting together the new music room tonight).

Joe,
if your buying an empty cab and want a quad of H30's let me know as I think I am gonna pull mine out of my Bogner 4x12, and load it with something else:) They are 8 ohms.

Sweet! If you get to a point where you could email me the Undertow drums that would be cool. I'll PM you with my email. Its just a midi file right or is it something specific to DKFHS?
