Shut the front door they are out their damn minds. But like I always say, shows are for people who work real jobs, not musicians. I haven't been to a ticketed show in like 15 years

Yeah but now they also own the venues, and the screen printing, and the buttons.....it's past terrible. Let's not get into the contracts these days, where they also get a piece of the tour money.

Not like we can do anything to change it.

I used to go to dozens of shows a year and now down to about 6 or 7. These tickets were $934 + those fees. The cheapest were $702. I have no idea how most people do it. I only go to the top of my list shows, anymore. I wouldn't bother spending that kind of money just to check someone out.

Btw, of all shows I've been to in the past couple of years $30 Dragonforce was the best. Rob Zombie/Alice Cooper close second/tie but at around $300-400/ticket, IIRC.

Whose show is that expensive? ?

I was under the impression that the Biden administration got rid of "junk fees" for the monopoly Ticketmaster/Live Nation. I don't remember fees ever being that high or even on my last few shows at all. Also, not trying to turn this into a political downfall thread.

Nine Inch Nails. They went on sale just a few hours ago and they are already sold out. How the fuck do you sell out of 15k tickets at those prices in a few hours?

I don't know, but live nation and ticket master have been in charge for too long.

That's why I quit going to shows that aren't self promoted.

They are also attacking small independent venues and trying to squeeze them out. It is a terrible practice.

I refuse to support that shit.
Successful musicians are slaves these days.....as much as I don't feel sorry for the big ones.

Secondary market driving up prices....guess who owns those sites too!?

They buy up their own tickets and double dip. It's criminal.

934 PLUS 150 bucks in fees? I must be playing the wrong kinda music.

That's the age range of NIN listeners and they are the age range with the disposable income and appetite for attending shows. I mean, you bought tickets, right? I've heard he's paid his guitarists like $100 per night for shows like that in the past. Must be a nice payday for ol' Rez dog.....

I dunno about $100, he still has Finck (GnR Chinese democracy, iirc) playing as far as I know.
I actually went to audition for him like twenty years ago after the AATCHB tour and was told I was too short at 5'9" (6' with my Docs) before getting a chance to go through the door not even joking. Reznor is like 5'5" :ROFLMAO:

Edit: Damn straight I bought the tickets :ROFLMAO:

I forget where I saw the story, somewhere on youtube I think.

I don't understand why people are like that. Like Paul Stanley saying Marty Friedman was too short for kiss. Someone should get Paul a tape measure.

Hey no judgments on how someone else spends their dough but money is too tight here for me to consider seeing anyone at those prices even if Freddie King or Jimi or Muddy came back from the dead, lol. A fifty or sixty dollar per ticket show would be a def luxury for me. Pretty much club-level shows these days. To think I saw a whole day of top blues acts back in 97-98 for ten bucks. Times change. Prices change even faster.

Scalpers probably.

Damn, they would have to pay me to go to their show, let alone at such price ?

It is a luxury and it's dumb that it is a luxury. These aren't backstage multi-day festival tickets. Even then, same thing like you're saying lots of $10 shows and $20-30 weekend festivals back then.

Hey man, nice shot!

Not scalpers or second hand.
I bought them immediately when they went on sale.
Have been waiting all day.
I'm sure there will be scalpers tomorrow.
