Yehuda Goes to NAMM- a thread of cool shit I see

The 50 has been hand-built on turret board like original Hiwatts and price is like $3K+. I wonder if they're switching to PCB now?
In another video the Hiwatt guy said they are still doing the turret board in their other amps, but that these lower priced Super Hi 33 and 50 are PCB.

So there will be a 50-watt PCB, a 33-watt PCB, and a 50-watt turret board? Is there a link to that video? It was hard to see, but looked like the 33 had some additional switches on the front, unless those were reflections.

Omega has three new amps coming

Grano v2
Mick Thomson preamp
Amethyst (more British)

2 power amps- one 70w with a tube nobody uses (only 2 ) and one with kt88 100w

Also got some insanely clips coming- like misha mansoor on the Friedman jose

This is an amp I would like to revisit. I remember it having a very clear gain profile. It was a very smooth amp. I almost bought the damn thing.

I remember when you had one...you really liked it. Always wondered about one of those.

Yeah it had a really good tone/feel. Just noisy as hell and kind of a messy design. If they simplified it a bit with one gain, one master (no switching), and a simple insert loop, it would help the noise issues. I asked their custom shop if they would do it and they never responded. I've been wanting to build one on a Marshall power section for a while but haven't gotten around to figuring it out yet. It's doable. But part of the special sauce is in the Hiwatt DNA as well.

Maybe this new PCB version solves some of the issues in the custom shop turret board version?

Quite a unique sound/feel. Super angry. I wouldn't call it smooth—kind of the opposite. Very raunchy and tons of grind. But the one I had was so noisy. The FX loop was awful and the switchable dual gains/masters just added unnecessary complexity. A simplified version would be amazing.

I played it a LONG time ago. I was pretty new to amps. So i will definitely take your memory over mine. I dont remember it being noisy, but i do remember really bonding with the amp

Videos of note include a comparison of the Lichtlaerm distortion pedal based on the Prometheus vs the Prometheus itself, the overpriced slash amp, misha mansoor dialing in the Friedman Jose, some of the best playing out there (not mine lmao), a fart pedal, and Heathen Guitars demo for @yeoldefortran

The Redseven Amp Central EVO would be cool to see more. Looks like a new Reactive load with 2 channels (2 IR's) that can output in stereo.

There wasn’t a way to record this unfortunately, but it’s a really good loadbox

Thanks for trying. It’s only a pre-order so was hoping to hear it first outside of the videos redseven sanctioned.
I use a Suhr RL but would be cool to have some variety. Others I’ve tried (Fractal and Two-Notes) were different but in a worse way than the Suhr to me.
