Still laughing about Marshall being 35 years late on officially modded amps, releasing them at exactly the right time for Friedman to eat their lunch with his own better sounding modded Marshall.

Baxty- he was insanely good- crazy tasteful note selection and super clean playing- he’s a kiesel artist I believe

Kind of agree...They really should have just done a thorough update / revamp of the JVM series. They consistently mis-read the market. That said, I will give the mod 800 a quick try locally...But suspect that (from what I have already seen) the Friedman Jose will be more in line with expectations in terms of gain and tone.
